More about my youth trip of service in Minneapolis St Paul. During our week themed Love, Share, Serve we spent a morning at ARC Value Village Thrift Store.

The kids had a great time sorting through "interesting" bags of donated clothes and hard goods. Its fun to work hard to help others.

Some had fun with the sticker gun putting prices on items.

Some put the priced clothes and hard goods out on the racks on the sales floor

In three hours of volunteer time the 22 of us accomplished sorting 1593 lbs of donations, stickered 6 racks of hard goods, stocked 10 racks of hard goods, stocked 6 racks of clothing and filled 1/2 a semi trailer with discarded clothing.

ARC Value Village Thrift stores raise funds for the non-profit, ARC of Greater Twin Cities, which promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, actively supporting them and their families in a lifetime of full inclusion and participation in their communities.
