What is Teh Tarik Sundays?

It is the FIRST talkshow initiated by @branlee87 and @zord189 with the support from #teammalaysia witness & lead, @bitrocker2020 exclusively for #teammalaysia members to gain exposure for their posts.

Why Teh Tarik? Because its what we Malaysians drink at a mamak stall when we hang out with friends. Here is what is going to happen on Sunday Nights :

• Everyone is invited to join the Teh Tarik voice channel on Sundays at 10:00 pm.
• If it's Author Week, three authors from #teammalaysia will be given a timeslot to promote their post.
• If it's International Week, International Steemians would be invited to our talk show to share with us.
• During your sharing, the post promoted will be shared in the Kopitiam channel for everyone to see. You will also get extra exposure. Your post may even be rewarded.
• Only the Moderators and Authors are allowed to speak in the voice channel. The listeners can and should engage in the Kopitiam Text Channel.

The Malaysian Guide

Teh Tarik - Directly translates into pulled tea. It is basically 'Hot Milk Tea' and the 'tarik', which means pulled gives the top of the milk tea some foam.

Kopitiam - 'kopi' which means coffee in Malay and 'tiam' which means shop in the Hokkien language. Kopitiam will be our text channel in discord.

Teh Tarik Sundays EP22 | BIG News and updates

I was REALLY excited for this week because the amazing authors that came for the show all have something BIG to share. These aren't ordinary people my friends, these are some of the most amazing individuals I've met on Steemit because they all are are visionaries. These authors are gems be it in building communities, charities, or creating something purposeful to contribue back to the community. If you've missed this episode LIVE, no frets, because I've uploaded the FULL RECORDING down below this post. Trust me, it is worth listening.

The first was a very dominant Steemian in the East Malaysia region. He leads the team and expansion there, organizing events for Steemit, blockchain and is much of a crypto advocate. His heart is all for Steemit and the community within this social space. You can hear from the session how much passion he holds for the future of Steemit. I was privileged to have him come on the show to share about @steemxp.

@steemxp is a South East Asian Guild which provides support to steemians in promoting the Steem blockchain in South East Asia. In other words, this is a guild supporting ALL SE Asia steemians. Though this initiative have just started, @danieldoughty and the core team have BIG plans for what is to come. Alongside him, he has a few trusty core members to help him push this initiative, that being @veenang, @nickychu, @bboyady, @viverridae, @angeljames, @wilsonkoh, @arwine and many more. Recently, they've just announced the Chapter Managers who will be leading the expansion for specific regions in SE Asia.

As @steemxp continues to expand, you bet there will be more Chapter Managers required to make this initiative successful for you, and I and of course the Steemit ecosystem as a whole.

We also had @bitrocker2020 tuning in all the way from Krakow, for @steemfest. He gave us a brief update but a hopeful one for where @teammalaysia and Steemit is heading. He shared a little about the joy of talking to Amazing Steemians like @roelandp, @sndbox, @voronoi, @hansikhouse and many others for future plans.

A Christmas Story, Charity

After @danieldoughty and @bitrocker2020 finished their sharing, @angeljames came to share one of the first few collaborations she started together with @steemxp. It is a collaboration with local artists from East Malaysia to create a Christmas Album and the profits 100% goes to charity. They've decided to help the children's home in Jireh to have a wonderful Christmas. They are planning to sell 500 Christmas Albums.

If you are interested in helping make an early Christmas contribution, here are some ways you can do so:

1. Spread the word, write a post with the tag #bondfire or tag @angeljames, and pledge in the post that once you claim the reward of the post in seven days, you will donate the reward to this Charity Project.
2. Do send your rewards to @angeljames with the memo "Bondfire"

Last but not least, our final author came to share about his awesome newly updated statbot for discord. He is none other than @superoo7. @superoo7 is a self taught developer and has since helped @teammalaysia and many other initiative build and code systems. All of which have helped greatly and ease things up.

A Change in Schedule for TTS

I've decided to change the schedule to fit the new direction that Teh Tarik Sundays is progressing towards. That is to expand Internationally and cross-collaborate with International communities/initiatives and also to focus on internal #teammalaysia members. This new direction will open many opportunities to meet other amazing Steemians that are part of the whole Steemit ecosystem.

I will still be having #teammalaysia Authors come on the show but this will be at a specific week and the following would be an International segment.

The new schedule for Teh Tarik Sundays would be :

• 2 episodes, on the 2nd and 4th week of the month.
• Every 2nd week would be an International episode where we invite International Steemians for the show.
• Every 4th week would be the Routine Teh Tarik Sundays where 3 Authors can come and promote their post.
• If there are no Special Guests on that month, we will proceed with the routine Teh Tarik Sunday

• The moderators will dm you when it is your turn.
• Every author will be given 5 minutes to promote the post and 5 minutes for Q&A.
• Each author will have a maximum time limit of 10 minutes only.
• The post must be no older than 3 days old.
• Slot registration works on a First Come First Serve Basis. Limited Slots Every Sunday.
