Or How I Embraced a Challenge In Spite of Myself
Those of you know me know that I am not too fond of the challenge posts that go round this Steem world every now and again.
So why would I start a challenge that I would possibly just fart off if it were issued to me? Because I am convinced that it is important. This challenge is a direct result of a group call on the SOS Forum, and a search for answers.
BACKSTORY
There are big changes coming to Steem. Forces are in motion that will shape the way we all relate to the Community and to the blockchain. I’m talking Foundation here, and the fact that Steemit Inc is changing the way it does business with the chain. Movements are afoot to make the Community the arbitrator of the way things happen around here.
The Steem Alliance is working diligently toward this change as are others. The problem being that there are more questions than answers right now. Nobody, on any chain, has done exactly what is being attempted here and now. So this post, and this challenge is about getting as many answers as possible to the question **“Which is more important to the persona of Steem? Communities or Rewards?” Or stated more directly “Which has been more important to YOU in your journey with Steem? Communities or Rewards?”
**
The Challenge
Simple: Write a post that answers one or both of the above questions. Show your work and explain and justify your answers. In other words, tell us why this matters to you, how has it made your journey on Steem better? How does it keep you here? Be as specific as you can, let's see how this fits in the big picture.
Use the hash tag #communitychallenge in the post and as one of the tags.
Challenge at least one but less than 1000 fellow members to respond.
Three rules. No limits. That’s not so challenging, is it? I will list some people below that I personally challenge but any and all are welcome and encouraged to respond. This is important, I wouldn’t be grovelling for support if it were not.
Oh. Before I forget. I will personally give 10 Steem each to the top five posts in the next two weeks. For those of you without a calculator that would be midnight Feb. 28. Winners to be selected by a blue ribbon panel that doesn’t know that they are selected yet.
First challenge is issued to me. I will write the post in the next 48 hours.
I challenge @pennsif and @teamhumble. They have created a dynamo in SOS and no good deed should go unpunished.
I challenge @shadowspub and @traveller7761. Tireless workers that certainly have more than enough to do without this.
I challenge @aggroed and @crimsonclad. Two voices that matter.
I challenge @taskmaster4450 and @markymark. Speaking of voices that matter.
I challenge @soyrosa @princessmewmew @morkrock and @broncofan99. It’s your fault. You should have known better than to give me shelter from the storm.
I challenge @slobberchops and @enchantedspirit because I value your opinions greatly.
Author's Note: Thanks to ShadowsPub for the editing. Makes this much better and I appreciate it.
You want some really cool stuff? Check these authors, they will not disappoint.

@morkrock Music Games Stinging Politics. Don't go here with thin skin.

Thank you!
NICE! Great challenge and great write-up. This is one of those tabs I need to keep open in my browser that serves as a 'to do' list of sorts. Thank you Tom, this can only bring up a lot of positive stories on the chain! <3

@garudi is a whack job cunt who has spent a few too many days off her meds. @garudi it's time to take a trip back to the hospital where you belong, they'll take good care of you there and make sure you don't harm yourself. Crazy cunt needs some meds!!!

If I can I find an extra hour in the next few days I will write a post for this challenge, in case I don't get that time, the people and communities is first on my list now. It always wasn't but rewards never were first, it was the blockchain itself.

I'm really hoping that you find the time and tempo to answer. I'd have challenged you directly, but you know... I don't like most of them any better than you.

I appreciate that Tom, I don't like being roped in and hog tied on things like that but I do think it is a good challenge and I haven't looked but my guess is that people and communities will be the overwhelming choice that people are here, they may have come for the rewards but that changes once you get inside here.
I have one more drawing left to do today and I will be caught up on those but I still have plenty of catching up to do on the new products I am representing so not sure when I will get a Daily Dose out, hopefully this evening before I call it a night. My last one I proclaimed I was back, that was a little premature for sure.

This looks really interesting. I might have to throw my hat in the ring. I don't think I will hold a candle to some of the names you called out though. With my incessant rambling it might look like a monkey with a typewriter wrote it :)
