New Zealand decided to give some of the newer players green time today and they did not let down their more experienced teammates. Damian McKenzie had a sensational game once again and really upset the Puma's defences with amazing side-stepping runs downfield throughout the game. After a couple of silly plays costing both teams 3 points, NZ was then able to take the lead with a converted try by Keiron Reid, the AB's captain. It didn't take long for the pressure and frustration to be seen on the Agustin Creevy's, Argentinian Captain, face and the remainder of the first half was a one-sided affair ending 29-3.
Half Time Score
29-3
The second half did not contain the speed and pressure of the first however Argentina was able to claw back a few points. A well deserved Pumas try saw them putting their first and only try on the board, taking advantage of the shorthanded NZ team by loss of sin bin. 29-10 remained the score till the final minutes of the second half where NZ mounted a formidable attack and managed to put a last push of 7 points, their only points for the entire half, by Havili on his debut.
Full Time Score
36-10
