Yes, I realize it is still 110 days till Christmas. No, I do not act like Will Ferrel in Elf and run around in tights the day after Thanksgiving either. However, I do enjoy playing Christmas music in July - the subsequent looks from people around me adds to the joy of the music for me.
My birthday is 4 days after Christmas. Typically, the Christmas gifts under the tree were never gone when Christmas Day was over. My parents mixed in my birthday gifts with the regular ones.
To date, my favorite Christmas gift was actually not something I received, but something I helped to give (yes, you are allowed to choose something you gave as well).
My dad was a huge Pete Rose fan growing up and styled his game much like "Charlie Hustle." My brothers and I decided to pull our resources together one Christmas, and bought our dad a signed bat of Pete Rose.
That may or may not mean much to some folks, but it meant a lot to my dad. What me and my brothers didn't know was the email correspondence from the eBay seller was going to our dad's account as well - he knew weeks in advance what his present was. Thankfully, he didn't spoil the surprise for us, and let us know after we gave him his gift on Christmas Day. Note to self, check all the details.
My wife. We were married on December 20th, the last day of school before Christmas break. It even snowed --big, fat flakes as we exited the church. It was magical, until we turned on the heater vents and were showered with confetti thanks to my friends LOL

My best Christmas gift was one I gave to myself (is that cheating?), but it was my dog, Gus. I got him five days before Christmas, and I had wanted a dog of my own for so long! I had to wait until I could afford to buy my own house, which I was able to do a few months before Christmas. He was free (if there's such a thing as a free dog), but he has been the absolute best pal I could have asked for. 13 years later, he's laying at my feet as I type snoring happily. He has been amazing with the kids and loyal as the day is long.

Hmm now this is a good question. I think it would have to be a 3 way tie. One year I got an electric guitar, which I loved. One year a CB radio. They were SO popular back in the day....don't judge...it was the Facebook of my time. I got my first girlfriend on CB lol. Or I got a Texas Instrument TI99 which sparked my love of computers to this day!
