The Commuter is a crime drama action film by Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows, Jungle Cruise) as the director. Produced by Andrew Rona (Project X, The Corporation) and Alex Heineman (The Gunman, The Killer) with executive producer Michael Dreyer (Nine, The Take), Stuart M. Besser (Molly's Game, Alpha), Ron Halpern Legend, Paddington 2), Didier Lupfer (The Son of Bigfoot, Holy Lands), Juan Sola (Hooked Up, Curve) and Lacey Darlene Paulson (The Judge, Mad Max: Fury Road).
The film is distributed by Lionsgate and StudioCanal in collaboration with Ombra Films production houses, StudioCanal and The Picture Company, the Commuter Movie presents the famous Hollywood veteran actor in the action Taken trilogy, Liam Nesson (Widows, Hard Powder) this.
Participants include Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring 2, Godzilla King of Monsters), Patrick Wilson (The Founder, Aquaman), Jonathan Banks (The Damaged, Redbad), Elizabeth McGovern (Woman in Gold, The Chaperone) and Sam Neill ( Thor Ragnarok, Peter Rabbit). They will act in accordance with the manuscripts created by Byron Willinger, Philip de Blasi and Ryan Engle (Breaking In, Rampage).
The film becomes Liam Nesson's fourth collaboration with Jaume Collet-Serra after starting with Unknown, Non-Stop and Run All Night.
The Commuter film is scheduled for release in mid-January with its tagline "Lives Are On The Line".
The Commuter Film Synopsis
The Commuter film tells the story of a man named Michael McCauley (Liam Nesson) who daily uses Commuter transportation as a supporter of his job, insurance salesman. Tension begins when Michael meets a mysterious woman, Joanna (Vera Farmiga) who approaches him and asks Michael to reveal the identity of the passengers hidden in the train before the last stop when his journey home from work.
Soon he witnessed a criminal conspiracy, in which Michael saw the events of a group of people wanting to destroy the train. Michael is in a tense situation where when he does nothing, there will be something that can threaten the lives of thousands of people in the train. For that he must try and find a way to thwart the crime action plan that will be done by a group of people.
