Apple vs. Google: The Company War That Never Was

Worldwide Appeal
I’m sure you’re all quite aware of the fact that Android and iOS are the two most commonly used mobile operating systems in the world. Android is now closing in on a staggering 90% (about 88% right now) worldwide market share, which makes it the most dominant operating system by far.

Apple’s iOS had those numbers at the beginning stages of the smartphone craze, but this was well before Android started taking over the world. Apple is currently holding onto a healthy 40% market share in the United States though, which is still quite impressive.

Apple is one of the top tech companies in the world and won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. As far as overall worldwide market share goes — Google now has a massive lead over Apple. Talk about a complete flip-flop! How did they do it? With a lot of time, dedication, customer appeal, and a clear game plan.

Apple’s Point of View
When you hear the Apple name, you usually think about premium products and services, right? It took them a lot of effort and persistence to associate the brand name with the top tier status we know of today. They are also well known for keeping their operating systems locked down to maintain a smooth and well-restricted ecosystem for their users.
