THE ERROR IN COMPARISON

An average person wants to be at par with his contemporaries. "Instead wer him go carry last, make e be draw"

If this energy to measure up with your friends is channeled properly, it will drive you to unimaginable achievements. But you see, the challenge has always being that judging yourself successful base on comparing your accomplishment with another man's can result in a wrong judgement; you either think you are successful when in essence you have failed because the measure of the untapped potentials in you is expected to produce a far more exceeding result than you have now. Let me give an example.

With the level of INVESTMENT and POTENTIALS available at Manchester United, they will be adjudged to have had a bad season if they finish 6th in the league table. However, it will be an excellent season for Burnley football Club if they finish the season in same 6th position. Same position, one team sees it as failure, the other as a resounding success. So you see that success shouldn't be defined using achievements as the only indices.

Success is how well you have fared compared to your potential not on another man's accomplishments. Since everybody has different potentials, don't go and kill yourself because you want to do what you are not tailored to do. For they that compare themselves one to another are not wise. Develop yourself, be disciplined, pray, work, pray again and when you have done all to stand, don't fret if you see yourself sitting. "Take am jeje oooo"

I'm Jay Sun and I believe comparing yourself with others is not smart.
