Isn't tug of war the glorious things about dogs?
Humans spend our lives pissing at each other over wages. We see our employers making millions while we make thousands.
Even when two dogs are playing tug of war with one having an insurmountable size and weight advantage, they both just play and love the game. They both benefit from the competition.
Adam Smith once said that we've never seen a dog peaceably give a bone to another dog.
I've at least seen a dog give her bones to her humans.
So far as tug of war goes, even when the winner is pretty much solidified, the joy is mutual. The likely loser just keeps inviting the next match and keeps pushing forward.
People really should be more like dogs in a few ways.
