Got to the water side this morning to assist my uncle get some coarse sand from his boat to be used at the building site. The experience was worth it. But outside the work, I had to pondered over all the events that took place and came up with some useful lessons which I feel would be of benefit.
- We can’t have the best of life without complimenting one another (the relevance of the sand and the cement is only obvious when they are used together and not singly).
2.No matter how huge a task may be, with determination we can accomplish it. Nonetheless, we must set realistic goals for ourselves so we don’t end up in disappointment and frustration.
3.There is always a corresponding input to be made if we must achieve our goal (a good casting is only feasible if there’s a balance between the sand and the cement).
4.Look inward, there are still untapped potentials. On approaching the boat, I and my cousin concluded that only but a few bags of coarse sand can be obtained from the boat but by the time we finished excavating the ones in the hidden part of the boat, we were so shocked by the number of bags of sand we were able to obtained. If we carefully look within us, we would truly discover potentials waiting to be utilized.
5.Nothing was created just to occupy space. The air at the water side was necessary for proper ventilation, the trees to help absorb some dust and serve as wind break apart from its function as source of food and other useful functions, etc. All of these to improve the quality of life for us all. Hence, we must see it as a responsibility to make life comfortable for the next person.
6.The place of a skilled hand can’t be over looked. The quality of work would depend on the quality of the service. Using an apprentice may appear cheap but in the actual sense it’s more expensive because the work may not stand the test of time and that would warrant more expenses.
That would be all for now. Hope we find this useful.
