I live on Long Island, NY. The summers here are hot, but the winters can be pretty brutal. Walking to the compost pile when there's a foot of snow on the ground is not a desirable task. It's also not convenient to do it after every meal.
I went on the search for an under the sink composter that would allow me to reduce the frequency of those trips and didn't find anything I liked. So I built it myself!
