Hull City have announced Abel Hernandez as their new club record signing.
The Uruguayan international forward, 24, joins the Tigers in a £9.5million deal from Serie A side Palermo.
Hernandez made two appearances at the World Cup in Brazil and has now penned a three-year contract at the KC Stadium.
And Hull City manager Steve Bruce is delighted he was able to seal the deal.
“Abel is a fantastic signing and highlights just how far the Club has come in such a short space of time, he told Hull City’s official website.
“He is an exciting talent and like myself, I’m sure the supporters can’t wait to see him in action.”
Last season Hernandez struck 14 times as Palermo won the Serie B title and was previously linked with moves to Southampton and Sunderland.
