West Ham expect to welcome back Cheikhou Kouyate for the Premier League game against Manchester City on Saturday.
Kouyate has been forced to miss the last month after he suffered a groin injury during the 3-1 win over Liverpool back on September 20 and was expected to be ruled out for six weeks.
But the Senegal international has made a speedy recovery and is set to make a first-team return this weekend.
Kouyate has wasted no time settling into his new surroundings in east London following his summer move from Anderlecht and has quickly become a fans favourite at Upton Park.
West Ham moved into the top four following their 3-1 win over Burnley on Saturday and with Kouyate back in contention for a starting place, Sam Allardyce will now have a major selection dilemma as they prepare to face the Premier League champions.
