Belkin F9D1000-15 Surge Protector saved my flight simulator!

I had an issue where yesterday the powerbox on the street went crazy and was surging a lot of power to my place. IT got so bad on one outlet that my surge protector started to smell like burning electronics. I replaced the surge protector today and everything after that was just time. I use a UPC for my computer and one of the monitors for everything else hooked up to the computer I was using this belkin unit and while it got fried it saved all the flight sim hardware! Im really happy for that!

      Much better to replace a 20 surge protector rather than thousands of dollars of equipment! I really thought with the burning smell I was going to be out of luck but it all worked out.
