Chromebooks

HI Friends,

I bought a Chromebook a couple of years ago but regret it now. Granted, Chromebooks are fairly cheap, but for me, they are no substitute for a real laptop:

As technology gets better and app based programs expand, I do think Chomebooks will get better, but there are just too many limitations on them right now and I have found the speed to be too slow.

What has your experience with Chomebooks been?

Thanks for coming by,
Brian

I also use a laptop from lenovo. It is lenovo ideapad 320

Nice, good choice!

I generally work from a desktop computer, my work is currently from home so I have no experience with this device, but I already know how it works as I read in your post and I will not consider buying this if I ever want to buy one of these devices.
Happy Friday

Makes sense!

Chomebooks and Notebooks are not suitable for running big app.

I agree my friend 👍🏻

Chromebooks were designed only to navigate and streamline office work, with other tasks, they do not perform well, at the moment they do not replace a laptop. Greetings, Have a good day.

Good thoughts and I agree!

It is always good to calculate the expenses when deciding which device to buy. There is a proverb that says: "The low price is expensive." I see that you put these details into practice, for which I congratulate you, in addition to thanking you for the information.

That is a smart way to approach it!

I am waiting for a larger screen MacBook Pro to come out :) hehe but never really liked the idea of the chromebooks.

Hard to beat a MacBook - that is our go to as well!

Yeah they are awesome!

Thank you very much for sharing sir @brian.rrr 👌

I have my only one laptop of lenovo bro.

Since the Chromebooks were launched in 2011, they have evolved with respect to compatibility, but the main idea of these laptops was the educational field at low prices, that is, oriented to basic tasks, although they have progressed and become more complete. As an example we have the Google Pixelbook and Pixelbook Go. its future remains uncertain. Thanks for sharing the topic.

Thanks for the history and it does make sense

I prefer laptops with high processor clock speeds, huge ram, and a discrete graphics card. They are usually future-proof for many tasks.
