I am sure you all have heard about, or seen a movie about computers gaining the ability to learn, function, and think extremely better than humans. Recent experiments and studies have shown that may not be too far from happening! A researcher at Ransselaer Polytechnic institute gave 3 robots a self awareness test and one of them passed it... Now what does this mean? These days the saying "God is dead" has become quite popular to many, many live their lives today with a complete mindset of a "God" or "moral absolutes" is a fairy tale, or, out dated tradition. I believe, these people are playing with fire, if computers became self aware and could learn, that would give them the ability to build themselves stronger, and capable of disposing humans all together... I mean, why would it need us? Could they create themselves to feel emotions? or to be moral?
Technology advancement knows no barriers. I believe it is a dangerous technology and needs to be closely monitored.
