I jumped in the deep end, wiped a powerful machine, and put Mint on there.I am taking a class and nailing it, but it feels like survival on an alien planet. I am just like Captain Kirk, Spock being the real Linux user....

I was hoping to become more comfortable with CLI. I intend on getting a Cisco cert and changing departments at my workplace, JHU. The have a tonne of Cisco equipment and zero Cisco techs. I am enjoying the fact that I can point the entire power of the machine at a single task and go. The class I am taking did not have anything to do with video compression, but I learned it and the machine is great for that. Pretty sure I will either make an IPFS server of mine some crypto, just for the experience.

Ah, it's a big step, but ultimately worth it.

I like Mint. I had it on a laptop a while ago, and it was just brilliant! Perfect as well for older machines because it's not that resource hungry!
