Saturday, 29th of may. As I was saying, my mum and her friend were on Duran Duran concert while Filip and I were wandering around Stockholm and trying to see more of the city while it was raining.
I cannot tell you real live happenings from concert and how i saw it, but i can tell you impressions from what they told me.
First of all, my mum and her friend grew up together. They lived at the same place and they were going to same school, same class.
While they were in primary school they were listening and loving to the band. They were true teenage fans.
You know in past we didn’t have any mobile phones, but everytime they would see their music video on tv they would call each other and scream happily together while they watch it, like it was live or something. After it they would exchange their opinions of what they just saw, how the band looked and so on.
I found out just yesterday that when i was little girl, maybe 3 or 4 years old, Duran Duran had a concert in Serbia, and my mum couldn’t go because of me and my brother. There was nobody who could keep an eye on us. We were to small.
But her friend used the back then mobile phones and called her while she had credits. Remember that? When we payed credits so we could call.
So i feel even more proud i arranged all of this.
These are some of the pictures i recieved from them, because my mom whanted me too keep them stored. She thinks she’ll accidentally erase them haha 😂
Anyway, they told me that they had so much fun. They were screaming, singing, yelling without stopping. They didn’t mind the fact that it was raining; even though they didn’t let them get an umbrella inside. It was open concert, otside.
They even had a video of themselves singing their favorite song and laughing. Like they got back in time when they were young. But isn’t that to point? Nostalgic girls were back and so happy because of the fact thet they were watching live Duran Duran concert.
When they got outside menand Filip were waiting for them. They came to us running and screaming. My mum was hoppin out of joy and saying ‘thank you thank you thank you’ and hugged me.
Yup. That feeling has no price, i knew that it was the best birthday present i gave it to her.
On our way to hotel two ‘girls’ with lots of impressions were talking and talking and talking and we were gladly listening. ♥️
Yay, mom got to see Duran Duran and had an amazing time, thanks to you! :)
I know that band too. Let's see how many songs I can remember, without Google's help...
This is Planet Earth
Her Name is Rio
Hungry Like the Wolf
Girls On Film
Electric Barbarella
The band got their name from the movie Barbarella. Duran Duran was a character in it.
I'm pretty good at music trivia but idk if the above is correct bc I'm not checking it on Google! :D
Anyway, cool pics and seems like everyone had a great day!
P.S. Does mom have a favorite song by them? How about you? :)
