GUITAR OF PETER FRAMPTON LOST IN VENEZUELA

in conciert •  7 years ago

In the eighties the musician Peter Frampton came to Venezuela to play in the polyhedron of Caracas. His performance was highly acclaimed by the public, but the extraordinary thing about the story is that the instruments were shipped by plane to Panama. The plane that transported the instruments crashed, taking off from Maiquetia airport, burning down. The good luck was that an inhabitant of the area recovered a case with a guitar inside it that, if it is very burned, I keep the instrument with minor damage. By chance that person knew an Italian friend of mine and offered it to him, for which he invited me to accompany him. We went to the city of Cumana to see the instrument and in truth it was the original one had identification that verified to be property of the musician. The truth was that my Italian friend did not like the price they asked for and declined the purchase. A while later I showed him the double album of Peter Framptom Alive and on the cover was the photo of the GIPSON LES PAUL of 54. Hay was that he understood the error of not having bought this musical gem of rock
