At 7:22 on September 14th, at the construction site of Qianjin Road Metro Line S1 in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, a high-pressure jet-grouting pile driver about 20 meters high suddenly overturned and hit an SUV that was driving on the road. Upstream News (Report E-mail: [email protected]) reporter learned from the local police that the owner of the vehicle that was hit is being rescued.
On-site surveillance video showed that the site of the incident was at the construction site of Metro Line S1 near the Science Museum on Qianjin Road, Kunshan. A high-pressure rotary jet pile machine collapsed after shaking several times. Due to the rush hour, the jet-grouting pile driver hit a driving SUV car when it fell to the ground. There was only the owner in the car, and the trapped car could not get out.
After the accident, rescuers immediately used a crane to lift the jet-grouting pile driver, rescued the driver and sent it to the hospital for first aid. The body of the SUV car has been severely deformed, and the road fence is also damaged.
It is understood that the high-pressure jet-grouting pile machine is a concrete construction machine that uses a high-pressure rotating nozzle to spray cement slurry into the soil and mix with the soil to form a continuous overlapping cement solidification.
It is understood that Metro Line S1 is the first urban rail transit line in Suzhou and the first line to dock with the Shanghai rail transit network. Construction started in 2018 and is expected to open to traffic in 2023. The current construction progress has been 76% completed. The accident occurred at the construction site of Heilongjiang Road Station of Line S1, located on the main road of Kunshan City. The construction unit was the Suzhou Rail Transit Line S1 Project Department of China Railway First Bureau.
Upstream news reporters learned from the Kunshan Public Security Bureau that after on-site emergency rescue, the driver was rescued at about 7:50 and sent to the hospital for treatment. Due to the impact of the typhoon, there was no construction on site at the time of the incident. Local residents said that the local wind was not strong at the time of the incident.
At present, the accident investigation and aftermath work are being processed.
Wow, how can someone survive something like this. I hope that the driver recovers quickly.
