We often confuse confidence with skill: we see someone as a great singer, a successful entrepreneur, a daring outdoor athlete, an enviable fitness trainer, and think "I wish I could like them"
What we saw was they tried hundreds of times without success.
Confidence is actually winning the game where you don't know what to choose, and of course when things don't go the way you want, you get frustrated and then gradually give up

My trick to building confidence is getting used to doing things I don't want to do.

Why? Because I used to hate bad weather, when I just wanted to stay home and put off running, I forced myself to run outside and train when it was raining.
I used to hate cold water, so I take cold showers every day (try it with caution)
I used to feel uncomfortable or intimidated talking to girls, so I kept talking to girls online until I could talk to them in real life
I didn't have the confidence to speak in public, so I joined a speaking group.
I am now confident in all of the above, and more!

Confidence is a wall, and building confidence requires taking you out of your comfort zone step by step, so that you can get a brick of success, and finally you can build a wall of confidence
