Memorial Day Weather Conditions Improve Afternoon

Memorial Day Weather Conditions Improve Afternoon
We are beginning to see dry air moving southward from upstate NY & the Great Lakes. We have some leftover clouds hanging along coastal areas and over Central South Jersey & Southeastern Pennsylvania. Gradually clouds should thin out from north to south and we should see decreasing clouds and increasing afternoon sunshine with highs reaching into the 70s.

REGIONAL RADAR
Radars are quiet this morning. To the south down in North Carolina we have some showers from the northernmost moisture from Subtropical Storm Alberto. Alberto is making landfall this afternoon on the Florida panhandle with top winds of 65 mph. That moisture should be pinned to our south and west and does not look like it will be moving up the East Coast.
NAM MODEL LATE MONDAY AFTERNOON
We have dry warm air coming in from the Midwest for Tuesday with sunshine and temperatures that will reach into the low and middle 80s. High pressure drops southeast and off the New England coast. The onshore flow returns Wednesday but we will see some sunshine and clouds Wednesday with highs in the 70s. Moisture from the Middle Mississippi Valley will start to come in on Thursday where we start to see an increasing chance for showers or a thunderstorm toward the end of the week.
