Rain Pulling Away Eastward Lots of Clouds Onshore Flow

Latest radars show that the heavy rains that fell over much of Central New Jersey & Parts of Northern New Jersey are beginning to move away to the northeast now. Some rain remains over the Hudson Valley to the north of Route 84 as well as Long Island will last a bit longer but here too the rains will be pulling out leaving us with lots of low clouds and an onshore wind for the afternoon and into tonight. This is going to make for rather raw damp conditions for the rest of the day with temperatures settling into the upper 50s and lower 60s in most areas.

The frontal boundary lies across Southern New Jersey & Southeastern Pennsylvania where temperatures are into the 70s at midday and winds have not yet shifted around to the northeast. Another downpour or thunderstorm is possible here during this afternoon and evening with some highs reaching 80.

The boundary line to the south might produce a few showers overnight in Central & South Jersey. Monday Memorial Day looks to be on the cloudy side with the risk for passing brief shower but skies could brighten up in the afternoon as dry air begins to move in from the northwest. Temperatures should be able to reach into the 70s. This will lead to sunshine and rather warm conditions on Thursday with highs reaching into the 80s.
