Snow Showers Dotting Radars Warmer Weather Week Ahead

This morning we are seeing something that doesn't happen often. Radars and the satellite picture shows clouds and there are some snow showers. Most times snow showers usually come in from the west or northwest but these snow showers are backing in from the northeast around a storm over New Foundland. That storm is controlling the flow along the east coast and keeping things cold around here into early Tuesday. The sun should try and poke through from time to time today but clouds will dominate much of the time.

When you look at the regional radar everything is moving counter clockwise from New England to the Middle Atlantic States reflecting the dominating nature of the low to the northeast.

We will likely see some more rain or snow showers developing from the northeast and moving southwest later today into this evening. Temperatures today will be in the chilly 40s. The average high this time of year is in the lower 50s.

The week ahead should see a warm up but it won't start until late Tuesday. Monday we will see sunshine with highs in the 40s. Tuesday look for sun and arriving clouds with highs in the 40s to near 50. A warm front will be to our west with a few showers Tuesday night. How much if any of those showers get in here remains to be seen. Wednesday look for clouds and some sun with highs in the 50s before a stronger cold front begins its approach on Thursday.

Thursday we could reach into the 60s with the risk for showers later in the day into early Friday. This will be followed by a dry Easter Weekend. No big storms are on the horizon at least for now.
