Warm Humid Afternoon Weekend Uncertainty Into Next Week
A warm front is passing to the east across Long Island & Southern New England as we transition over to rather warm and humid conditions for this afternoon and tonight. Going forward we should see some breaks of sunshine develop as we do see some breaks in the visibile satellite pictures this morning though it isn't exactly gaping wide clearly. Temperatures should reach into the low and mid 80s except a little bit lower; 70s to near 80 at the coast.
EASTERN SATELLITE
REGIONAL RADAR
The showers on the radar moving east with the warm front should clear the coastline. There isn't much to the west at the moment but some downpours should pop up in a few scattered places later this afternoon into tonight. I don't expect widespread activity.

LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
Saturday will begin a grinding process of a front easing southward offshore and low pressure that will start to develop on in later in the day and Saturday night. This will probably keep us in a fair amount of clouds with a few showers around. I don't think the day is a washout and there may be some areas that don't see much. Highs will be in the upper 70s and lower 80s as the winds begin to kick in from the northeast.
Sunday and Monday the northeast flow show slowly strengthen keeping us in clouds. However the strength of the blocking pattern to the north is key here. If the block is stronger it could force dry air southward from New England and actually bring improving weather conditions by forcing the cloud line further south. We think that much of the daytime Sunday will be dry before low pressure develops and brings rain for late Sunday night into Monday. Some models are even slower and would keep rain out until later Monday into early Tuesday. Which ever way it goes once that is done we could see some slow improvement into the middle of next week but the pattern long range overall looks to be a bit on the cool side of normal most of the time.
