Weekend Weather Noreaster Free Until Further Notice

Weekend Weather Noreaster Free Until Further Notice
Four noreasters in two and a half weeks is enough and I think even the atmosphere needs a break. You can only stretch a rubber band so far before it snaps and indeed it has. Now we seem to be in a slightly less amplified weather pattern going forward though it will be on the active side and it isn't exactly going to offer up a lot of warm days. We could see the odd day or two here and there go near or even above average but the overall pattern going forward is colder than average into the first part of April. As far as today goes it is a mix of sun and clouds with more clouds later on. The satellite picture has the first of several upper air disturbances rotating around the old coastal storm so we will perhaps see a scattered rain or snow shower this afternoon into this evening. A chill is in the air with highs today only in the 40s. Snow melts fast this time of year if the sun is out and we will melt more of it away over the next few days.

Nothing has popped up yet on local radars but we should see a few blips begin to appear to our north and they will find their way down. They will move through rather uneventfully with little fanfare.

There really is much change in the weekend weather outlook. We will see the same thing repeat Saturday and Sunday with sunshne to start followed by clouds and that risk for a rain or snow shower with highs both days in the 40s and nights in the 20s to lower 30s.
UPPER AIR PATTERN TAKES A SHIFT NEXT WEEK FOR A FEW DAYS
After the last 3 weeks of craziness thanks to blocking the upper atmosphere offers us a change for a few days next week as a ridge builds in the upper atmosphere in the east. This brings a southwest flow aloft and warmer air for a day or two (relatively speaking) and we should head into the 50s and perhaps the 60s for a couple of days next week beginning on Tuesday and lasting perhaps into at least Thursday (depending on sea breezes and back door cold fronts).
NEXT THURSDAY'S FORECAST HIGH TEMPERATURES
We don't see any rain of consequence maybe next Friday. I put up next Thursday's high temperature map so you have something to look forward to. An early look at the Easter Weekend leaves us with a few question marks at the moment regarding a shot for some rain. Weather models in the long range were hinting at this but they have backed off a bit for now so we will take a wait and see approach.
