The album that got me into psychedelic Trance, Talpa's "The Path" is a hard-hitting and marvellous piece of contemporary sound magic that takes progressive psy to a whole new level which - in my opinion - is unparalleled to this very day.
His sound is a mighty fusion of dreamy melodies and atmospheres, cutting edge basslines, adventurous stories built out of sonic patterns and an often mysterious, wondrous, childlike glimpse into a realm we may only know from fairytales, myths and our imagination. The album features some of the best arpeggios I have ever heard, as well as a profound spectrum of emotions, ups and downs and insights into the nature of discovery.
Since we have recently dove a lot into downtempo genres I felt it was high time to reinvigorate the life spirit and to facilitate some movement. This album will not only blast you away, it will show you how loving and profound music of the psychedelic sort can be, and how advanced the engineering has become to deliver a mighty and impactful boost to our hearts, bodies and spirit. Music that tingles our senses, awakens our inner child and makes us surrender to the experience.
As a preview for Talpa's sound I want to share with you one of my favorite tracks off the album here, "An Accident in Talpania". Boy does that track paint a fairytale-realm-sky-accident if I ever heard one!
Talpa's sound has evolved massively since this album was released and I will probably feature his newer stuff in the future.
If you dig the sound, if it makes you move and helps you regain your spirit of motion I highly recommend you check out the full album in high quality - this music really is best enjoyed in at least 720p on youtube or - even better - in full quality via Talpa's official bandcamp page where you can also buy the tracks.

I sincerely hope this music will give you as much as it has given me. I fell in love with psychedelic trance when I heard this album play and recognized there is more than metal and guitar music - took me long enough. Dare to play it loud, and see if you can resist moving your body, cleaning your house or going for a sprint ;)
