Conscious Music you have probably never heard of | #42 | Kalya Scintilla - Listen To The Trees

Among all the different psybient and downtempo artists Kalya Scintilla still remains my favorite. The language he speaks through his tracks had remained indecipherable for me for the longest time, and suddenly one day it just clicked and I 'saw' what I had overlooked. His music speaks. The music is alive, it's spirited, it manages to capture a moving picture of something that can commonly "only" be experienced.

His sound is a magnificent example of intricate engineering, a melting pot of fusing ancient human instruments with breathtaking organic synthwork, primordial beats & human chants to create a moving, energetic and mind-opening piece of music that is perfect for daytime or periods of relaxation - a tale of immersion, dance and discovery perfect for meditation or a let-go experience.

Whenever I listen it reminds me that everything in life is a rhythm and that there is nothing to do except to get with how things are. In high states of awareness I found Kalyas music to be the perfect "explanation" of the mechanisms and interdependancies we rarely glimpse among the inner and outer, among the internal and the external.

Hugely forceful in its delivery yet organically lighthearted and alive the EP "Listen to the trees" serves as great inspiration for me to see where music can take us and how clearly and poignantly it can be crafted. It's definitely one of those rare quality and immersion levels to aim for for in creating my own music. After seeing him live several times I can say his tracks draw magical people of benign spirit together and its always a blast meeting the family during his sets.

Your vibe attracts your tribe.

If you are looking for new mind-opening music in your life infused with magical sonic segments and a soft vibe for the appreciation of the naturally complex - this might be it. This EP sounds as alive as walking through the forest, naturally perfect for a mushroom session or for just wanting to be carried away by a sonic tale of intricacy.

Here's the full journey for ya:

If you want to go for a longer & deeper submersion you may want to check out his stunning album "Open Ancient Eyes" which I already featured in part #5 | Kalya Scintilla - Open Ancient Eyes
