How powerful this track is!
Rockers will respect it, electronauts will adore it, pop music lovers will be speechless and activists sharing awareness about flaws in the contemporary large-scale myth that has been forced upon humanity will heave a huge sigh of relief. It's catchy and simple and yet so daring and exciting it's mindblowing. If that isn't feature-worthy in this series nothing is!
It's not like noone has ever heard of Puscifer these days but in Europe it still seems like the lesser known project of Maynard James Keenan, singer of Tool and A Perfect Circle. And because of its message and its timely release these days I feel it deserves a spot on this list, partly because it has moved me so much.
From an artistic standpoint I find it marvelous to experience how good music can be that doesn't try to be too elaborate. Reminiscent of 80's pop music with simple synth lines and a steady uncomplicated beat, this track will pound itself into your mind and won't let you go so easily. It's satisfying, packed in rich guitar hooks and immensely engulfing synth basses that will make your hairs stand up if you let the track work on you. The video speaks a language of its own and transports so much more than any of my words could say here.
And thank god for it - artists that call attention to the messed up state of affairs on the world stage are rare these days to say the least. The herd is willing to swallow ever and ever more audacious narratives and while musicians had never the mission to explain things to anyone, they have called attention to major issues for centuries, maybe millenia - provided they aren't hired by the king and his cronies to mislead people.
And yes, a lot of weird information circulates about the singer in circles that try to make out his actual role on the world stage. But from my standpoint this track couldn't be more spot on. It could help to raise more eyebrows than all of the activism and demonstrations out there combined, just because music has been and remains such a powerful tool for communication and raising awareness.
If you have never heard of Puscifer or are not yet familiar with this new track of theirs, then by all means do take a listen. I can almost guarantee you you have heard nothing like it thus far, and that it has yet to hit the mass consciousness of humanity over the coming weeks as the show on the world stage becomes more and more deceptive, ruthless and divisive.
Here's an excerpt of the lyrics:
They won't believe you until it's far too late
Dumb, be dumb
Damned
Be damned, dumb
Dumb, be dumb
Damned
Be damned, dumb
Dumb, be dumb
Damned
Be damned, dumb
Dumb, be dumb
Damned
Skid in to Armageddon
Tango Apocalyptical
Dumb, be dumb
Damned
Be damned, dumb
Dumb, be dumb
Damned
Skid in, tango
Apocalyptical
They won't believe you until it's far too late
The track is the promo single for the album to be released in fall, and due to the scope of the artist you will be able to get it pretty much anywhere. I don't include this track in this series for promotional purposes of Maynard's music projects or to make you buy his stuff. I just find it essential that all people who doubt the official narratives the world has been swept with take note of this powerful track and make use of its impactful way of ripping that narrative to shreds.
