Letting go of people who don't accept consequences

As I evaluate my life I realize that the people I once could get along with are no longer on the same mindset level as me. There are so many who blame situations yet they refuse to take consequences for their own actions. I feel as if we do wrong knowingly and hurt someone the least we can do is apologize. Not everyone respond to betrayal the same way especially if the person who does the destroying have no remorse. I am happy now that I am around better people now who accept consequences when they mess up and fix the issue. Wasting time trying to get someone to acknowledge what they've done isn't worth it. After learning that some just have no remorse I have moved on now happily and wont ever be looking back to the irresponsible people that I left behind.
