Every day of every week we are bombarded with climate change news, it was global warming, but that just proved toooooo difficult to prove!

There can really be no stance to deny climate change as yes, the climate changes from minute to minute anyway.....
It is a bit like the war on terror is it not, who is terror anyway? (terrorists tend to wear suits, and people vote for them)

One of the many arguments poli-ticians use to justify climate change taxation and more laws, is the "fact" that fossil fuel usage fuels climate change (whilst they jet off all over the world every week).......

Meanwhile over in Belfast, that is in Ireland for those that do not know, stolen money via taxation, was pumped into bonfires!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, I shit you not.

From the article and with a link to it at the end.

Belfast council paid £45k to bonfire builders.

August 21 2019

Belfast City Council awarded nearly £46,000 to 35 bonfires held in Belfast in July, 2019, it has been revealed.

Bonfires held on 10 and 11 July were awarded £45,870.

The BBC has reported that the money was given to bonfire builders under council's bonfire and cultural expression scheme.

It marks a rise on the £42,570 awarded to 28 bonfires in 2018. The council also provided 16 beacons for July bonfires.

Bonfire groups can receive grants of up to £1,750 through the scheme which aims to discourage the use of tyres and hazardous materials.

Up to £500 of the grant can be used for cultural and community activities.

Groups receiving funded are prohibited from displaying paramilitary symbols or flags and emblems on their bonfires.

Some of the funding is awarded after the bonfire takes place to ensure groups abide by the conditions of the funding.

A number of bonfire groups received more than one grant as they were involved in a number of bonfires.

Controversial bonfires, including one built outside Avoniel Leisure Centre, do not receive the funding.

I am so glad Controversial bonfires are not funded, that would be a little extreme now would it not?

With no mention of what is controversial eh!

I'm trying to dig out my weenie forks here, when's the next gubmint subsidized Bon Fire anyway?

The world has gone mad, they are even banning pre 2011 mopeds from cities like Amsterdam saying they are the most polluting form of transport. 100 mpg, can you believe it? How does that pollute more than their Cars? Of course after an inconvenient truth, a former vice President was selling Carbon Credits. Who knew you could pollute and get away with it through a handy little trade system. But hey, what do I know right?

Elon Musk anyone? :-) Yes you can buy dirty credits from predators that make believe they are going to Mars some time soon. :-) Never forget, we are all living in a Matrix tooooooooo. "Elon Musk, the billionaire entrepreneur and founder of Space X, Tesla and Paypal, has told an interviewer there is only a "one in billions" chance that we're not living in a computer simulation.

You made me so sad!

You are telling me my little muskrat is not going to take me to Mars?

I feel like giving up
:(

I prescribe a full day in the sunshine, with a meet up with some friends, sir will feel much better after. :-)

...but...but..Mars!

I was dreaming of being the first one to climb Mt Olympus - the highest mountain (known of) in our solar system. I wanted to be a Hillary!

(oops, meant Hilary)

PS: It could be considered nasty to tell a person of my age to go meet friends....

lol - see how being nice can bite you (like a tick) in the bum?

Lesson to be learned? Don't take a crap in the field - and be nasty to everyone, so that you at least deserve what happens.

I looked it up further, seems this is a tradition they celebrate for what they call Twelfth of July Marches, the night before, on the eleventh, Orange Order parades commemorate the 1690 Battle of the Boyne by lighting massive bonfires throughout the city, with upwards of 80 to 100 bonfires being built and burned. Over the decades though the population has grown around the area's these bonfires are traditionally built making it a fire hazard to nearby homes, as shown in this picture below...

The other problem is building them in parking lots, heat of that magnitude can literally melt a tar surface. The council tried to deal with it by ordering the dismantling of some of the locations but some of the bonfires are built by paramilitary organizations. The council told those hired to remove the materials they couldn't guarantee their safety while dismantling the structures so the people hired backed out after threats from these organizations. That's why they went to offering incentives to those who would follow safety guidelines and not burn materials that were hazardous.

And the next Labour government wants to nationalize water, with stolen funds (tax)..............

Then 4 years later the CON-SERVATIVES will sell it all off again, see anything amiss here yet?..
