I believe you are on to something here. Even though everyone on this decentralized social platform called Steemit are making money instead of like FB, they are giving up their information here. I have always told everyone that they need to be careful on what information they post on FB because Mark Z is not $53B rich by just having everyone share pictures and post with friends and family. Here on this network is no different, especially if you are posting about your cryptocurrency. No need for Steemit to sell your info, because anyone who signs up on the network can follow you.
