I realize this is probably being viewed on a screen... Let this minor hypocrisy slide as the medium being used is for educational purposes. You know you can turn this off right?
Brainwashing: To make (someone) adopt radically different beliefs by using systematic and often forcible pressure. ~Google.com
Who here is being Brainwashed?
If you are here reading these words you ARE being brainwashed. Not by me, no, by your screen! That's right, I said "Screen".
It sounds suuuuuuper Conspiracy Theory-ish right? Your SCREEN is BRAINWASHING you!!! Sounds like something from a B-Movie sub-plot. But, alas, you are.
How? How can a screen brainwash you?
Well, this is a simple thing to answer and it also is not. You see, whatever you beam onto your screen is, more or less, your choice. So, it is necessary to separate yourself from the content on the screen and focus on the functioning aspects of the screen itself. Point of fact, you are reading this on a screen, the message is of an educational purpose, so the information gleaned is meant to help you arrive at an understanding, not 'force' you into an understanding.
Now that we have separated content from function let's look at the operation of the screen. I know it looks like the images appearing on your screen are constant but if you slowed time down you would see a definitive flicker. This flicker is commonly referred to as 'Refresh Rate'.
The refresh rate of screens today vary but are usually 60Hz. This means for every second you view a screen 60 frames(still pictures) are displayed. This is so fast that your eyes do not "see" it. So you experience a seamless flow of still pictures sewn together to mimic seamless motion.
So, all is well. The screens we frequently stare into project still images at a dizzying rate.
How then does this Brainwash us?
Here is the proof this "Conspiracy Theory" is actually a "Conspiracy Fact."
Patent for "Nervous system manipulation by electromagnetic fields from monitors."
Abstract: Physiological effects have been observed in a human subject in response to stimulation of the skin with weak electromagnetic fields that are pulsed with certain frequencies near ½ Hz or 2.4 Hz, such as to excite a sensory resonance. Many computer monitors and TV tubes, when displaying pulsed images, emit pulsed electromagnetic fields of sufficient amplitudes to cause such excitation. It is therefore possible to manipulate the nervous system of a subject by pulsing images displayed on a nearby computer monitor or TV set. For the latter, the image pulsing may be imbedded in the program material, or it may be overlaid by modulating a video stream, either as an RF signal or as a video signal. The image displayed on a computer monitor may be pulsed effectively by a simple computer program. For certain monitors, pulsed electromagnetic fields capable of exciting sensory resonances in nearby subjects may be generated even as the displayed images are pulsed with subliminal intensity.US06506148-20030114-D00001
So, this is a real patent and it states clearly that Your nervous system can be altered just by viewing a screen.
It was patented by Hendricks J. Loos, who among others, has worked for military contractors such as Douglas Aircraft Co.
This guy also patented these:
US6238333-Remote magnetic manipulation of nervous systems
US6091994-Pulsative manipulation of nervous systems
US6017302-Subliminal acoustic manipulation of nervous systems
US5782874-Method and apparatus for manipulating nervous systems
Now let's add back into this conspiracy equation the content, you are reading this, and to my benefit, your nervous system is being manipulated into a receptive state. No matter what the content is you are being affected just by looking into the screen.
Is mainstream media using these patents for any purpose? Answer this by having an open conversation with any avid viewer of FoxNews. Does it seem like they are in control of their thought processes? Or, are they simply regurgitating the programming they watched. Mindless drones of obsequious hate.
I recently watch the documentary 'The Brainwashing of my Dad' Trailer Here. It chronicles the life experience of the producer. She noticed differences in her Father's demeanor AFTER watching Fox News. This is not a hit piece on Fox News because there are significant effects demonstrated in this documentary after her Father started listening to Rush Limbaugh too.
Are these patents currently employed in any way? There probably isn't any hard evidence pointing to the expressed and explicit use of such but the effects, the results, are attainable. Look around! Don't you see? Do your own research. Talk to every old white person you know.
I'm going to skip the interlacing of discontinuous images for now. But know that it is possible to interlace picture content in-between the 60 frames per second, and your body does react to it, but it slips under your conscious awareness. Much like in Fight Club where they interlaced single frames(pictures) of Tyler Durden(Brad Pitt's character). Here is a video of it slowed down so it is noticeable. Tyler Durden Subliminals in Fight Club. I currently have no real sources to reveal that demonstrate this is happening during news broadcasts, however.
If you are thinking this is too complicated or too sinister to use on the public, I will remind you at one time America decided to vaporize the innocent people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki with a complicated and sinister weapon. Make up your own mind.
So, are you REALLY being manipulated by the screen you use to access information? I'll leave that up to you to decide/discover. The good news is you CAN control the amount of brainwashing you experience by turning OFF the Monitor/TV. Go outside. Get some Sun. Breathe deeply because there is nothing to worry about.
Or is there...
