Finally - Criminal Charges For Goldman Sachs & The Fascinating 20 Year History Behind What Is Happening Today!

in conspiracy •  6 years ago  (edited)

Human liberation requires that we free ourselves from the stranglehold of the private banking industry. It is equally true that events unfolding today have roots stretching far into the past and often to move forward we must look back. In this instance we finally see Goldman Sachs slapped with criminal charges that could lead to imprisonment.

Although Goldman Sachs clearly deserves these criminal charges, what is interesting is that the bank has such leverage on governments around the world which allows them to pay fines for their actions and avoid criminal charges. This post will discuss the 20+ year history that has finally lead to these criminal proceedings. Although nobody will ever admit to these linkages they seem clear to me, however I must say that these opinions may be considered contentious by some...

If we don't use our minds to think for ourselves we are doomed! 😉

Finally Criminal Charges For Goldman Sachs!

Like many observers I believe Goldman behaves like a criminal organization. It is allowed to run rampant across the world leaving a trail of destruction and misery behind its avaricious drive for profits. It is not unreasonable to say that they are profit junkies whose bonuses are paid for by the impoverishment of people.

However we never see Goldman having to answer for its crimes in a criminal court... until now!

I have covered the developing 1MDB case in Malaysia before but since I have been away major events have unfolded. 1MDB was a state development fund started by the recently ousted PM of Malaysia and was used to syphon billions of dollars from the people into the pockets of the few.

It was Goldman who facilitated raising an initial bond of over $6.5 billion and the bank took astronomical fees for the theft. It was the exposure of this scam that toppled the ruling party of Malaysia and has opened the books on this fraud. Now Malaysia is asking for a full refund of the money from Goldman and has initiated criminal proceedings against the bank and several employees. These proceedings could result in years of prison in Malaysia if they are substantiated.

The Criminal Proceedings

As these criminal proceedings against Goldman are so unusual just outlining the main points here should raise some eyebrows:

  • Malaysia has filed criminal proceedings agains Goldman Sachs and four individuals.
  • They are accused of making false statements to "dishonestly misappropriate $2.7 million" from the proceeds of the bonds. The four individuals are accused of conspiring to "bribe Malaysian public officials in order to procure the selection, involvement and participation of Goldman Sachs in the bond issuances."
  • Goldman is also accused of collecting "inflated" fees of $600 million.
  • Prosecutors will seek jail terms of up to 10 years for each individual as well as fines "well in excess" of the allegedly misappropriated $2.7 billion bond proceeds and the $600 million fees received by Goldman.

In my opinion the Attorney General of Malaysia summed up the situation correctly by saying:

"Their fraud goes to the heart of our capital markets, and if no criminal proceedings are instituted against the accused, their undermining of our financial system and market integrity will go unpunished."

How Today's Proceedings Relate To The Past

To me this is almost as interesting as watching the criminal proceedings unfold and the history goes back many years....

The current PM of Malaysia is Dr Mahathir who at 92 years of age has returned from retirement to lead the country in this fight against corruption. Mahathir was Malaysia's PM from 1981-2003 and many commentators are correct in leveling the criticism that much of the corruption issues today stem from systems that were put in place by Mahathir. Age seems to have improved Mahathir's judgement and on the surface of it he appears to be cleaning things up. Certainly the criminal charges against Goldman are a reflection of his honest desire to clean up the 1MDB mess left by his predecessor.

But what in all this would push Malaysia to take the unprecedented step of bringing Goldman to court for criminal proceedings. In my opinion the answer to this goes back to the Asian Economic Crisis in 1998. At this point another favorite globalist George Soros enters the scene.

During the peak of the financial crisis Soros was manipulating the currencies of both Thailand and Malaysia for profit. The fact that many poor Asian families were suffering did not matter to Soros who was happy to profit while they suffered. It is claimed that at this point Soros even broke the bank of Thailand and here is where things get interesting.

Although the economic policies that Malaysia used to extricate itself from the financial crisis are important, they are beyond the scope of this post. What is significant here is that the current PM of Malaysia (who was PM back during the financial crisis) was furious at seeing the Malaysian economy and people being manipulated for the benefit of private financiers such as Soros.

This clearly had a powerful effect on Mahathir who believed that Jewish bankers were financially picking on the Muslim majority of Malaysia. Since then Mahathir has been labeled as antisemitic although given that many Muslim populations are considered semitic I have never really understood what antisemitic means. In the video above you can see Mahathir being interviewed by Al Jazeera in Malaysia prior to his stunning election win. At minute 6:19 the question of antisemitism is raised and Mahathir states that Jewish people run the world by proxy.

Personally I believe that religions are often used to manipulate people, both today and in the past. I often see the "word of god" wielded as a political tool rather than heralding the true source of spirituality. I feel that there is a fine line between religion and politics which is often confused... but that is just my personal belief. In my opinion everybody can choose to believe as they wish, as long as it does not harm others. I also believe deeply in spirituality and the power of the spirit. I know I feel and understand the same "God" that all religions speak of. Due to my spiritual view I see people like Soros, who practice economic warfare on populations as being unethical and spiritually bereft. Therefore I believe that many high level bankers are only masquerading as "religious" or "Jewish". If they understood spirituality they would not engage in profiteering practices which cause so much misery!

My personal views are immaterial here because we have reached the nub from where I feel the political will to implement criminal charges against Goldman stems from. Mahathir's belief that so called "Jewish" bankers like those who run Goldman are running the world by proxy has given him the conviction to stand up and bring criminal charges against Goldman for the crimes they committed against Malaysia. These are not trumped up charges. I believe that Goldman clearly was involved in the thefts and regardless of what "religion" the bosses are, they should be brought to account for their criminal activities!

Where Will This All Lead?

The outcome of these proceedings remains to be seen but there could be major ramifications. Goldman is a notoriously litigious bank and much will be revealed in the court cases next year. However I want to make some interesting points here.

  • The ex-boss of Goldman Sachs Asia - Timothy Leissner, has already admitted his guilt to the FBI in a parallel case in the US. He returned more than $60 million to investigators and signed a confession which identifies the culture of theft and chicanery at Goldman. These are charges that Goldman refutes. Leissner turned informant so quickly that he clearly is a coward who can steal but does not have the fiber to withstand interrogation or punishment. Given that he has admitted his guilt and that he is being charged with criminal proceedings in Malaysia it is only logical that he should be convicted. The prisons are not pleasant in Malaysia and I have no doubt that Leissner would have a hard time there given how much he stole from every guard and prisoner. This kind of pressure may lead to further interesting revelations from a thieving coward.
  • If these bankers are convicted of their crimes in Malaysia then extradition requests for them to come and serve their time in Malaysia can be issued. This will cause an international incident and it will be interesting to see what happens.
  • Although Goldman is trying to paint these revelations as the actions of a few lower level employees and not indicative of the bank as a whole it has been revealed that a key manipulator of the theft Jho Low met with Goldman's boss Lloyd Blankfein in New York around the time of the theft which leads the trail potentially to the top of Goldman's management. Could we also see charges against Lloyd?
  • Hopefully Malaysia's criminal proceedings will lead to new revelations about Goldman and convictions through the process of discovery.
  • If Mahathir's assertions are correct then top managers at Goldman will be allowed to run and hide in Israel and this issue will be spun as a religious problem. Still if this happens few people will be fooled.
  • What will happen to Goldman if they are forced to repay $6.5+ billion dollars to Malaysia. Could it bankrupt the bank?

My hope is that these criminal proceedings against Goldman will be successful and set a precedent for further prosecutions around the world. Most of these bankers are cowards and the public needs the serious threat of long prison sentences to make them think twice about committing thefts against the public in the future.

These upcoming court cases will be fascinating to watch and I will continue to report on them in the coming year! 😀

For further information on this developing story I can highly suggest reading Sarawak Report which has doggedly and courageously followed this story for years when nobody else wanted to discuss it!

Great news @jockey we have plenty of prison space here in the USA, would love to see some of it filled with banksters.

Brilliant! Jail in multiple countries sounds fair and an even stronger deterrent for these criminals! 😉

Terrific piece. UV'd, RS'd as promised. I'll see what else I can do with it. TYVM for bringing it to my attention.
