Is Breaking Bad a Prequel to The Walking Dead?

Here’s one you may have not heard. All of Quentin Tarantino’s movies fall into one of two universes: the Quentin Tarantino universe or the Quentin Tarantino movie universe. For example: Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill etc all take place in the QT universe. These movies are “real”. Movies like Grindhouse and Dusk ‘Til Dawn take place in the QT movie universe. They are films shown in the movie theaters of the “real” QT universe.

According to Tarantino, this is true. Whether or not he intended this from the beginning or he is jumping on the shared universe band wagon— who knows.

Tarantino has said way before Marvel started the whole universe thing that John Travolta’s character from Pulp Fiction and Michael Madsen’s Character from Reservoir Dogs are brothers and that he wanted to do a buddy movie with those two characters. I also remember reading an interview a while back whe QT said that Django Unchained somehow overlaps with Pulp Fiction or one of his other films.

In QT movie universe, There is a generic hick sheriff that appears in Death Proof and Dusk Til Dawn and maybe other movies. QT says that was intentional.

Maybe he had some concept of a shared universe before Marvel coined the phrase or maybe QT is full of beans.
