For the last ten years many books have been writing about essential and unhealthy dangers of eating genetically modified plants and other foods and meat of animals fed exclusively with genetically modified herb. There are also books telling about the greedy gossips of aggressive multinational companies, producers of genetically modified seeds and pesticides. These companies, apparently, with the cunning of the Wall Street, wanted to dominate the world market potentially worth hundreds of billions.

In May 2003, US President George W. Bush held one of his rare press conferences. Most of the world was focused on the horrors and possible events in post-war Iraq and the dangers of spreading the riots throughout Islamic world, but not him, he had something bigger on his mind.

He announced that the United States Government has decided in the World Trade Or-ganization, WTO) officially launch a lawsuit against the European Union and its member countries because of their ban on introduction GM crops. This ban has been in force since 1998 and is many countries around the world gave courage and opportunities to resist the efforts of American corporations tendendcies.

The most interesting aspect of that conference was Bush's statement that long-standing hunger in African countires is a direct result of the EU's GMO ban. Bush showed us and made it clear that for his government GMO corps was as important as Iraq occupation and its immense oil wealth.

When Georg Bush said this quote a very few people understood its true meaning, so i'll do my best to reveal some facts related to cooperation between big corporations and US goverment in orded to make profit and spread their "ideology".

After the US occupation of Iraq in March 2003, the economic and political life of that country changed radically. Not only is Iraq occupied with 130,000 US troops and a small army of private mercenaries, but the occupation force - the United States - has taken over the full power over the country's economy.The rule over the entire Iraqi economy began to be implemented by the Pentagon. In May 2003, Paul Bremer III. an imposing title was set up for the manager of the newly established Coalition Provisional Authors, abbreviated as CPA, and in reality only slightly undercover occupational authorities.

Bremmer had unlimited authority and power over civilians lives. It is interesting that he did not submit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as a ministry that was always competent for post-war reconstruction, rather than the Pentagon, or directly to the Office of Defense Minister Donald Rumsfeld. That power enabled him to implement laws in order to bring "big players" to the scene.

The first Bremer move was the release of 500,000 workers from civil servants, mostly military officials and civil servants, but alsodoctors, nurses, teachers and professors, and publishers and printers. Then he opened Iraqi borders for unlimited import - no customs, no taxes, no inspection. But it was just the beginning of Bremer's economic plan.
To make Iraq attractive to foreign investment, it has introduced 100 decrees, laws which have given foreign multinational corporations all powers over Iraq economy.

With this decree patents holders of certain plant varieties, owners of foreign multinational companies, are granted exclusive rights for 20 years to use their seeds in Iraqi agriculture. Protected plant varieties are genetically modified varieties, and Iraqi farmers who wish to sow this variety must sign a seed patents agreement and commit themselves to paying a "technological fee" and an annual patent license for seeded seeds.

Shortly said , they destroyed Iraqi peasants and practically made a monopoly on the Iraqi seed market, binding peasants to the use of exclusively GMO seeds, otherwise they followed rigorous financial penalties. Suma sumarum of the whole story is to subdue Iraq and make him a new model of agrobusiness of and GMO.

Science in the Service of the Elite

Although science should be fully objective research, whose primary purpose is to improve the quality of life, it is often used as a weapon of mass controle and indoctrination. We are all aware of the fact that there are many cases where the results of research are false, in order to promote certain goals or products.

The only study on the consequences of using Genetically Modified Food at that time was the one sponsored by Monsanto, in which it was not surprising that the genetically modified food was completely healthy for nutrition.
The research was put in hands of a Dr. Pusztai who's been working on field of biotechnology more than thirty five years.

At the end of 1997, Dr. Pasztay appeared in the first doubts. His research showed completely unexpected and worrying results. Rats fed with genetically modified potato for more than 110 days showed noticeable changes in development. They were considerably smaller and lighter than those experimented with ordinary potatoes.
The most worrying change was the fact that they had a significantly smaller brain than rats fed with normal potatoes.

The world suddenly culminated in comments on Dr. Puszta's sensational statements. Organ and immune system damage was just enough dangerous, but this leading British scientist also said he would not eat genetically modified food if he had choice. Within 48 hours, a 68-year-old scientist Dr. Puszta was told that his contract would not be extended,in other words he got dissmised. under the threat of being left without retirement, is forbidden to ever give statements to the media about the results of his scientific work. They also forbide him to talk to colleagues from the team he was conducting the research, under threat of court prosecution.

It will only be the beginning of a hunt for witches and blaze people who have said the opposite. Let's hope that there will be more people in the future who will finally make a difference and will not seek an excuse. This man should be an example of a responsible and moral scientist who does not care for personal benefit but for better tomorrow.
