Yesterday, September 17th, marked Constitution Day. Unfortunately, few know about this special day and its significance since it's not a nationally observed holiday. Like Flag Day, this day is over-shadowed by other patriotic days. Both Independence Day and Memorial Day have a greater perceived importance.

Constitution Day has a dual observance, not only does it celebrate the day our Constitution was fully ratified in 1787, but it also celebrates those who become U.S. citizens. Unfortunately, outside of Ohio nowhere else in the country celebrates it.

Why Ohio, you may wonder. It's all thanks to a woman named Olga T. Weber. Read the full history on Constitution Day and the woman who petitioned tirelessly for it to be recognized at Ammo.com: https://ammo.com/articles/constitution-day-the-forgotten-history-celebration-americas-founding-document
