Oh man, that was a wild ride. No pun intended. :p
This took me on a trip on the feels train like there's no tomorrow!

Does he ever tell his wife?
Can he himself live with what he has done?
And the reason he had done it for?

Oh man, this is good. This story is real good.

      Yes, after a longer time,
      and the reason? Greed. Otherwise he wouldn't have popped 5 at once. He wanted not only to be able to write again, but he wanted to have the most he possibly could.
