September was ending, and I have just sent my second manuscript to publishers, so I needed a new project. Building a tool shack seemed like a very good idea, a completely different thing from writing, therefore the best thing for me at that moment.
It took us (me and the Mrs.) forever to decide what kind of tool shack we want to build but didn't have much time, because winter was coming and we just had to have a place to store gardening tools. As soon as we made up our mind, I started digging a hole in our backyard. That was just a part of stage 1 – preparation for concrete foundation slab.
I thought it was a totally good idea to do most of the work myself, although it wasn't always easy.
For me to keep my notes interesting enough I'll write them down briefly as possible, without the boring stuff.
Hole digging took me approximately fourteen hours in two weeks period. Yes, I have a day job as well. Never the less the hole was there and ready for gravel filling (subbase).
The material was just a phone call away.
Another three and a half hours (that includes 90 wheelbarrows or 1789 shovels of gravel) and I completed the first stage of PTS.
Stage 2 came a few days later. More about it in my next post.
Cool! I follow you.
