This is unmistakably, Stonehenge. I took this photo with the vintage film rangefinder; Olympus 35 RD

There is a lot of folklore about them, and a whole load of theories (including the Devil, Merlin and even Aliens). The truth is, nobody really knows exactly who put them there. That's how old these structures are.

In today's challenge, please show us something old in your interpretation.

Today's theme is:

Old

Trajan's Market is a large complex of ruins in Rome (Italy),located on the Via dei Fori Imperiali, at the opposite end to the Colosseum. It is one of the oldest shopping malls in the world.

2nd Place winner 🎉🎉
woop-woop! I love the story telling in this photo! Thanks.

Super cool Graciasssss Mo

Neat contest Adé. You inspired me to get off my arse and take the dogs out before it got too dark.

This is a dilapidated building in the woods next to the school my kids go to. They're called the Whitey Woods, or just the Whiteys, which is funny because where I'm from a whitey is when you throw up after smoking to much weed. Perhaps that's how the woods got their name, because I always see high school kids in there smoking in the mornings.

I'm gonna put this and some others I took in a post. Winter can be quite rewarding for shooting. Thanks for the inspiration!

Joint 3rd Place 🎉
I originally didn't notice the buildings. They've merged with the trees :)

Indeed! Cheers Adé!

When I think about ‘old’, the question “what do I want to be like when I am old?” Living in the countryside in north-east of Thailand, I discover that people there live a very long life with many living into their nineties

This is my neighbour, grandma Bee who will be eighty years old this year. She’s very kind and hard working. She accepts life’s misfortune quietly and continues to be cheerful and generous. She has been teaching me a lot about life and how to get old with dignity and self-respect.

Simple life, simple people with simple happiness.

Cheers.

Wonderful portrait

Hi,
My entry for today comes with the oldest proof of human progress which is the wheel. It is not the first ever made but an old one, used as a decoration, that I snapped at a cabin in Norway. Hope you'll like it.

Great interpretation of the theme.

Thanks

You might be aware that I do Urbex'ing quite regular and that everything I snap comes under the catagory 'Old'.

Thanks for the participation. What is this contraption before us?

Beats me! The first UrBex I did was an old pottery company. The place was literally lost in time with lots of personal things left.

There were things like this that look like they come from Fallout (the game) too. I guess it was used in the production of pottery once.

The full spiel is here if your interested.

Oh wow. thanks haha.

The Mother Nature has provided me with an entry for your today´s contest too Ade. Let me introduce you to the horseshoe crab - one of the so called "living fossils". These guys have been practically unchanged for over 450 million years, making them one of the oldest creatures on Earth. I captured this one on a beach here in Mexico.

Amazing entry - ancient creature!. (I couldn't consider the entry because there were 2 photos instead of one) :)

Ohh, I am sorry man :( I just wanted to let you guys have a better perspective of what the creature looks like... I will make sure to always include just one photo from now on ;)

The old wooden deck, which is suitable only for burning in a furnace, is only at first glance. We often give such an assessment of what surrounds us. Perhaps we should delve deeper into the world that surrounds us. It is not always the way it seems to us. But look, this lifeless piece of wood gave life to these wonderful mushrooms. He became a reliable support, even after his death.

Today you have set a difficult task - Old Age. What could be older than the universe? The Old Testament of the Bible is that from which everything in the universe originates. Most recently, I started trying to learn how to draw. I began to draw illustrations for the chapters of the Bible. I started from the very beginning, from the book of Genesis - the first chapter and today I have drawn illustrations to the seven chapters of the book of Genesis. This photo is not seven, but eight drawings. The eighth figure shows the Old Town. As you can see, there are two antiquities in one bottle.

Amazing drawing. I used to draw comics when I was young. I've lost the skill now sadly. Thanks for the entry.

Dear Ade,

I don't have an entry for this one but I will tell you who I think placed the stones there. The Nephilim. But what do I know. I am just a small town girl with giant ideas :D no pun intended lol

#snappluscomment

We didn't place it there. that's a false accusation @kawaiicrush :)

:OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Hehe. We did the Pyramids as an attempt to, you know..., but these stones we're not sure who put them there. They were here already when we arrived.

The pyramids were giant hydro plants Dear Ade :D

That's what we'd have you believe. Obviously. Yeah it had that function as a front.. but you wouldn't want to know what we were really using it for. Especially since we were feeding them dead Pharaohs ;)

lol the energy made by the giant triangles was supposed to help the Pharaoh pass into the under world :D

Volkswagen produce these Bettle since 1938 and some people still love to keep this car alive no matter what. That's some dedication towards the car 👍🏻.

Shot at some autoshow back in Mac 2018 at Putrajaya.

Epic car. My neighbour has two of these and they look like new. :)

I took this picture from my mom's album ... it's me when I turned one year old.

This is stuff from Ancient Egypt.

These medals and orders were purchased by my colleague. We have a lot of them in the country and you can buy them at auctions and online stores.

Fresh flowers made into dried flowers, both are beautiful in their own way. Does that make fresh flowers old flowers or dead flowers? I'm gonna call them old flowers as they never die.

Beautiful flowers. Thank you for participating.

Greetings all,
I guess we had to go real down into our gallery for today's theme...lol

Mercedes Benz "190" model. This car was manufactured in the 1950s and having this car back then you were declared as 'Oga Boss' but today here lies the Boss!
