Solid As A Rock
Los Gigantes (The Giants) are gigantic rock formations that rose from the Atlantic Ocean to mountainous heights. There is a village called Masca hidden within those heights. It is said that Pirates of the Atlantic Ocean found refuge there in days of old.
Rocks are some of the hardest things we have on our planet. You've heard of the phrase "rock hard", I'm sure.
Today's theme is:

I share my photo of the San Antonio de Eminencia Castle in Cumaná, Venezuela. This is a fortification built in the 17th century (1659-1686) with limestone blocks and fossilifera sandstone from the hills of Cumaná.
After the damage it suffered during the 1929 earthquake, it was restored and declared a National Historic Monument in 1965.
It is still standing strong, vigilant and protective of our city.

This fighting machine can be easily compared with the rock. It turned out to be strong and firm enough to go through the battlefield and find its shelter on the memorial. At one time, this car was a weapon and shelter for its team, as well as those rocks that served as a refuge for pirates.

The ancient Mayan ruins of Coba. Unlike at Chichen Itza, people are still allowed to climb up to the top of the pyramid and enjoy some amazing views of the surrounding jungle. A decent chunk of hard rock :)

Pohon Inn, one of the best place to visit & relax in east java, with beautiful & awesome staff. Also I think she's the only hotel that have a weird design inside-out that's closest to nature. Pretty solid concept!

This defensive pillbox is located on a cliff top, on the bank of the Dniester River near the village of Zhvanets, Khmelnitsky region, Ukraine. During the Second World War, this pillbox allowed heavy fire to the enemy troops and provided protection for border guards. This dot is stronger than the rock that surrounds it, it is solid concrete.
