Rules

Here are the contest rules to win 1 SBI SHARE:

  • Resteem - 5 points
  • Upvote - 5 points (weighted based on the % of the upvote)
  • Comment - 1 point
  • New Follow - 1 point

If you comment with (doing other actions listed above increase your chances at winning):

$GRC$ S5SuvJBZAPiWKgiKvQR5Z12iNbXkkP1dCf

Where [S5SuvJBZAPiWKgiKvQR5Z12iNbXkkP1dCf] is your Gridcoin wallet address, you have a chance to win 50GRC.

IMPORTANT: make sure to include $GRC$ in your comment. The winners are selected automatically so I need to be able to parse these comments out.

The 2 winners (for 1 SBI Share and for 50 GRC) will be selected independently and you have a chance to win both. Both winners will be selected at random, where participants with more points will have a proportionally higher chance at winning. For participating in the Gridcoin portion of the contest only people with $GRC$ comments will be considered, but their total points will be accounted for.

* The contest will run for about 6 days. The winners will be announced in a separate post and will recieve their prizes shortly after.

** The contest is partially automated and I'm constanly trying to improve it. If you notice any issues with that, have any feedback or have some recomendations for how to make it better, please let me know if the comments.

#gridcoin community

If you would like to sponsor the winner, please send any amount of GRC to this address [S5SuvJBZAPiWKgiKvQR5Z12iNbXkkP1dCf] with a link to this contest in the message. All the collected fund will be forwarded to the winner's address (in addition to the 50 GRC from me) at the end of the contest.
Alternatively, you are welcome to sponsor the winner or any of the participants directly. Thank you for your support! ❤

Here's an interesting idea, maybe sponsor a writing contest for Steem Basic Income and Gridcoin? Then have some sort of voting system for the best entry.

While I like this idea, I barely have time to manage this contest, that's why I'm looking to automate as much as possible. I guess we could apply some sort of semantical algorithms on these posts, but I don't know how reliable it would be. :) I am also opened for joining forces with someone who is willing to oversee this contest, and be a judge for these "essays".

My biggest concern, with this idea, though is that I'd like this contest to be as simple as possible for the participants. The goal is to give people, who are new to both projects, a chance to feel more involved without having to spend hours on writing contest (and potentially not winning). Saying that, they still have an opportunity to resteem this contest and promote both projects.

Perhaps, I could include more engaging contest on both projects, so when people share it, it would be more informative to new users that are not familiar with these projects.

I was thinking that it could spread the word about the projects more by having more original posts on it. I see how that could reduce participation and make it harder to participate.

Toché. Regardless, I personally don't have a bandwidth to read and judge the original contest. So given the time constraint, I'm doing the best thing I could think of to promote and support these projects.
Thank you for suggestion though. I'll keep that in mind.
