Some thoughts/info about The Marketplace. AND... IFC S1 R23 Results

Hey again. Hope you're doing well. Some exciting things have been happening around the castle. Construction on new structures is being done and The Marketplace has recently been opened, though not necessarily is it a sort of "Grand opening" yet.. We're still testing it out, but hopefully the official opening will be soon.

Anyone is still free to use it, though we're still just sort of testing it out.
The other day on a walk I came up with some good ideas and one of them is to have it so each person can have their own shop within The Marketplace. This will essentially serve as a channel on the discord channel, where you can post your own stuff and delete spam if necessary to keep it clean and organized.

And then hopefully when we get enough vendors, for the buyer it will be sorta like looking through a real Marketplace with individual store owners all over the place to browse through. :)

Additionally.. The Marketplace is actually getting off to a better start than I thought..
We've had quite a few entries, and a few successful deals already too.

One of our players even put up property for rent in The Marketplace!! And I just checked and he got at least one person who might even be interested at some point in the future...

That just blows my freaking mind.. This is literally just the babysteps.. This idea is so new still and we already have someone potentially renting out property through the marketplace! Absolutely fascinating.

I also paid for a card reading by @eaglespirit which was very well worth it in my opinion. It was very educational.
And @bashadow has had a couple takers on his offer to upvote and comment on peoples content.

So far we've had 7 entries including mine in the IFC contest, but there were a few entered in our discord channel as well .

Okay so.. First @xomegax offered to teach Chinese for 1 steem.
@luckysteem is offering cryptocurrency signals. Not sure price, contact them for more info.
Then I myself offered to write poetry for people or research things for them, essentially 1steem or SBD for a paragraph 2 for two paragraphs and 3 for three paragraphs.
And then @charisma777 offered to a new game of Magic The Gathering for for $23 payment in USD steem or SBD. She has also offered to make logos for free, one of which @jan23com has acquired and wrote about in his entry.
@bashadow has offered to upvote and comment on peoples content within reason and a few rules for free.
@eaglespirit has offered personalized card readings for 1 steem or 1 sbd
@jbreheny has offered some of his properties to rent in Florida, with varying prices look at his link for more details.
@mr-bike has offered to write a 2000 word essay on almost any subject for around 100$ USD
@plushzilla has offered list making services, please look at his page for more details.

Additionally we have a couple other people who have mentioned that they are thinking about what they are going to enter into The Marketplace, so we should have at least a couple more before the round is over! :)

I was admittedly a lil concerned about this round and didn't know how it was going to work out, but I would say it has already surpassed my expectations in a good way.

As I mentioned above, these are our first baby steps.. This could grow a lot in time!
The more I think about this idea the more it blows my mind too.. It's like an RPG shop, but.. With real physical items and services! I'm not sure if a game has ever done that before like we are.. But.. Truly fascinating to me. This game feels more and more like a real life RPG on a regular basis..

Anyways.. I'm super excited to see where this goes, though.. I don't wanna talk your ears off, so I think I'll get on to the results!

Congrats @har5h ! It's good to see you get a win, and wow.. You're right up behind @kryptocek now! At least in terms of XP.. He's still 5 wins ahead. But.. Darn. That Hidden ladder artifact can be really powerful. This is still anybodies game for sure! I'm more and more getting curious to see who's going to come out with the grand prize as we get in the later stages of this first season.

Though.. I think.. Regardless of who wins the grand prize.. In a way we've all won, for coming together to create one of the coolest and humblest communities. :) It's been a pleasure for me getting to know so many of you. :D

Oh and.. The IFC itself is still in it's baby steps, I think season two we will have things much more streamlined and we learned a lot from the first season! We will continue to improve into the future.

My reason.
So.. Originally I had voted for amariespeaks as did uhh.. Almost every other judge, but we just found out that she wasn't eligible to enter that catch up round seeing as she had already won a round and catch up rounds are only for those who haven't won a round yet.
Your entry was a close second and now since I can't vote for her.. I'm voting for you. Sorry it's a "second best" vote, but.. It is what it is! I think your story was great, very well written and immersive and I vibed with it the most next to amariespeaks story about the IFC world. Great story! I vote for you this round.

Ohh.. And.. One other thing I forgot to mention in the last update, @bashadow got an additional 3XP for the bonus on the music round, he was the only one who did a "jingle".

Definitely still anybody's game! Especially since we're doing a sweet 16 style challenge.
That means the top 16 people will still have a chance at the grand prize of 158 steem. :)
