In honor of my super cool 3000 followers who make me so happy every day- seriously guys, you decided you gain value from what I have to say… It truly means a lot! I am giving away $30 SBD!

Everyone who participates is a winner! The Grand Prize winner will receive 70% of the prize pool. And all other participants will receive an equal share of 30% of the liquid SBD Prize Pool.

The prize pool is $30SBD plus the liquid SBD from this announcement post, as well as any donations generously given for the contest.

How to Play

The storm of the century has hit. Record amounts of snow and freezing temperatures cause havoc across the nation. You will be in this storm trying to survive.

Each day for 6 days I will present a survival scenario. You will have three choices. Comment with your choice. One of the choices is the best for survival in the current scenario. The next day you will see if your choice was the correct one and be presented with the next days scenario.

Even if you die in the game you may still participate and learn valuable survival skills as well as receive a portion of the winnings.

How to Win

Participate in each days scenario by leaving a comment. All participants who play every day will get their share of the prize pool.

Grand Prize winner will be chosen by random generator from the participants who played each day and made the correct survival decisions at every stage.

To maximise exposure and prize rewards please resteem this to your followers. This will help grow the prize pool as we get more participants!

Everyone is a winner! Plus you will learn extremely valuable skills that may someday save your life or that of your loved ones!

For me, I don't think it has anything to do with what day of the week it is or what holiday is taking place. I volunteered to make an e-book for someone and it is taking wayyyyyy longer than I had expected. However, I like to keep my word, so I've been spending a lot of my time on it lately. I've got 9 more chapters to go and then make an index and table-of-contents. Hopefully there won't be a need for a lot of revisions afterwards.

I think that even though I have my process nicely streemlined now, it still takes me about 1.5 hours per chapter to download and insert the photo's, copy in the text, proof read/correct, and format the paragraphs, lists, etc. Its been about a month on and off that I've been at it.

I will post the first challenge at around 6-7pm my time Thursday. You will have 24 hours to play. Then at my 6-7pm Friday, I will post day 2 of the challenge, and so on.

Though 8 PM PST converts to 5 AM EST, I shall do my best to take part in this grand idea. You have revived an old concept for me, about using text format role playing games, seems steemit is the perfect platform for story-driven commmunity adventuring.

How long will I have each day to pick one of the three choices? How long is my time window after 8 PM PST?

This will be fun, the comments will be enlightening to say the least. And the knowledge super useful, considering the times we are heading in.

I wanna join! I did a real survival thing this year when the freak snow storm hit. No water, no generator, no firewood and totally not prepared for 2 feet of snow and -10. We survived though :P team effort!
