What I am reading now - Steemit posts

Re-steemed

Oh gosh, The Foundation series by Asimov! I haven't read that in years and it's time for a revisit. Love Dan Brown's books. The Dark Tower I read because a friend recommended it as his favorite but it isn't mine. Will always love the Lord of the Rings. Have read then re-read all of the GRR Martin books, every year. Right now re-reading The Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher, I also own and re-read all of the 'In Death' series by J. D. Robb. Love Terry Pratchett!
I love to read!
The book that made the biggest impact on me when I was in my teens was 'The Fountainhead' and then 'Atlas Shrugged' by Ayn Rand.

Oh, and I highly recommend James A. Michener's lesser-known work, 'The Source' about an archaeological dig in Israel.

Baghavad Gita.
A book about a magician.
The Rational Male

Best book I've ever read this year: None
Best one I've ever read: 1984
One of my favorites: Scott Pilgrim

Hello bunnypuncher and friends hope everyone is doing well

Congrats winners! I have read Rich Dad, poor dad recently and it is a brilliant introduction to personal finance which I would recommend to everyone to read.

The best book I've read this year, has been the best I've read in all my short life: Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand.

Although I also liked it a lot 1984 by Orwell and: And Then There Were Non by Agatha.

The best book I read this year is: 1984 written by George Orwell.
It is a fictional world for 1984 where it is governed by 3 dictatorships, it shows how the control over its population is so much that despite the damage it does to them, they manage to be loved by them.

One of the best books I have read is the Godfather, written by Mario Puzzo. I think there's no need to explain why, it's just a classic.

The Tudor diamond written by Will Whitaker would say it's my favorite book. It is an espionage novel set in the England of Charles V, this takes advantage of the war that reigns in Europe to extend his empire, while pacts an alliance with the Pope in Italy. Only England can face it. At thirty-six, Henry VIII presides over an opulent court, and entrusts to Richard Dansey, a young and ambitious goldsmith, the difficult mission of finding the perfect jewel for Ana Bolena, his last conquest.
This journey takes Richard from Venice to Rome, and throughout Europe, while being involved in the artful intrigues of the court of the Tudors.

1984 is a great book, reminds me of socialism.

Is that the book shows what is really socialism. Here in Venezuela you can see how the system is a faithful copy of what happens in the book.

Venezuela is the proof that socialism doesn't work. The government follows all the rules of Karl Marx's manifesto and Castro ideologies.

When you have knowledge, you must teach it to others.

A book like a ax for ice frozen within us.

Science only moves slowly, crawling from one point to another.

The only best protection against the hard days is to increase knowledge in the easy times.

We read to know that we are not alone.

I should be angry. But the silencer again. Because it's useless. Did not change anything. Anger makes the distance between us. Spread the long way and burn all that remains. That's why I prefer to be quiet and calm down for a moment. When I get upset from you. Because, that's much better. Instead of letting go of anger and making the whole thing torn apart.

A book is like a flower garden that is carried in a bag.

Science is a flashlight that illuminates the path of dark life.

Do not disappear again. Because your loss is destroying the mood. Do not leave without further news, because your keeps always leave you lonely. If you can not strengthen me by being by my side. Do not frustrate me with your uncertain existence. If we can not meet every time. At least try not to wait too long. Because if we are right in love each other. We will never allow a whole heart to become wounded.

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Can you convince me without growing doubt in you? You know very well, once half my heart was too crushed. Try to strengthen me by emphasizing you believe all this. If you hesitate-because the wound was too deep-how can I be strong myself. Doubts often give rise to other doubts.

There's a point I feel I just need myself. Hugging myself. Calming the anxiety that is in the chest. Convincing even the anxieties will soon subside. Then lecture my lips smile-whatever is going on. I need strength from within myself; which reinforces in all circumstances. Not going to drop and degrade even if I fail to get what I aspire to. Probably true, I just need myself. Catch all the dreams. The one who is far away, who is almost locked, is still to be fought for. So, be strong myself. This path still needs all those beliefs.

May you be good for me. Friends who reduce me to do evil like in the past. Someone who accepts steps to go to new things. Something that brought change to me. Who does not go though know, many mistakes I've done in days gone by. You still want to grow. Despite my understanding, I once fell. If today I still look bad in behaving. Bring on the good. Though slowly. At least, we have a more beautiful goal at last.

There is no stop word to study, because every time until we die we always need knowledge

If there is someone invested without a science, if he is lucky, it's just a matter of luck.

If you always fail to do something, it means there is a science that you do not know yet, but you should know.

All book is my like..

Be a knowledgeable person, so that you, your family, and your environment will be better.

You can not achieve science except with six things that are smart, always curious, steadfast, have stock in the study, guidance from the teacher and in a long time.

Science is more important than treasure. For the inheritance of the prophets as for treasure is the legacy of Qorun, Pharaoh and others. Science is primarily of treasure because it keeps you, if it is your treasure that guards it.

The Best Book I've read this year is the book of "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" Written by Stephen Covey and published in 1989.

The_7_Habits_of_Highly_Effective_People.jpg

The Book is all about Personal change, How to be Productive and Setting Goals. I really like this book because it is very Helpful and Useful. Applying it to oneself in a day to day matter is really a Life Changing Experience.

My best friend is someone who rewards me a book I've never read.

Reading can keep the heart from anxiety and keep time from futility.

The book I read always gave new wings, took me to fly to the most endearing gardens of knowledge, crossed time and events, shared love stories, greeted all the characters I wanted to meet, while playing in a rainbow arch.

The book never forces you to search for electrical plugs

If fun toy your smartphone, can - can baterei your smartphone runs out. Well if it is busy deh looking for electric plugs or alternative power source such as power bank. Well, by reading the book, guaranteed you do not need a power bank let alone busy nyari electrical plugs.

I always combine reading and writing. The books I read made it easier for me to remember because I wrote down my understanding.

There are many small ways to expand the world of children. Love books is the best of everything.

My lifelong love with books and reading is undisturbed by computers, automatic machines, and all sorts of twentieth-century devices.

We can not write books for children. It's too complicated. We can only write books that interest them.

But, I have a mother who reads books for me

Reading books for the first time is like getting to know a new friend; reading it for a second time like meeting an old friend.

Doing great job best of luck!!

Are you pakistani, lets be friends then

i am also so friends

followed both

I often feel sorry for people who do not read good books. They missed the opportunity to live an extra life.

Alternative means of entertainment that can be selected in addition to other entertainment facilities. Visiting a unique bookstore, arranged in a vintage style or distinctive design will enhance your colleagues' insights as visitors. Surely everyone is different in perceiving an entertainment value, but ask the book lovers, and they will gladly explain it.

Generally have better writing ability along with high book reading frequency. Vocabulary, placement and use of matching words, unique word selection, flexibility in storytelling, tidiness in presenting problems and many other related issues with writing skills will be better when compared to those who do not often spend their time reading books.

When you have knowledge, use it to create something.

11 minutes from paulo coello, and this year the bunnypuncher book

Bunnypuncher book, sounds funny

If you have wealth, then insert some of it to study. Because it is the best investment.

Prevent memory-related illnesses because the trained brain is stronger against the rare degeneration of the brain. Memory-related diseases such as Dementia, Alzheimer's, Stroke, or Neuronal loss are more likely to be resisted when brain stimulation is frequently used and even more empowered when colleagues are 55 and older and usually retired.

The more you are arrogant and feel a lot of know, the more you fall into the abyss of ignorance.

The book is a lighthouse that stands by the ocean of time.

I’m not sure if it’s a favourite or a book that just had a huge impact on my mental wellbeing while reading it.

The book is called The Demon and is about a young guy building his career and starting a family. He works insanely hard and does all the right things to get ahead. And becomes very successful. But at the same time he always has some secret addiction that grows and grows in intensity.

The book is written from his perspective and was written so well that you felt as if you were actually him for the duration of the book. I shudder a little every time I think about the book.

I can’t find the book in my collection so it must be in storage. Which is annoying since I can’t remember the name of the author.

A second book that has stayed with me is The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. This one is by John Boyne. It was brilliantly written and gave a deep insight into the shocking things that went on during WWII. This was also a scarring book to read. Interestingly, this is one book whose movie adaptation was incredibly well done. It’s well worth both reading the book and seeing the movie.

I do not know there is a problem that can not be degraded by an hour of reading a book.

Children transformed into a reader in the lap of their parents.

Reading without contemplating is like eating without digesting.

Best Books: The Hobbit (Tolkien), The Song of Ice and Fire (George R.R. Martin), Harry Potter Series
Some Favorites (Romance Genre): Beautiful Disaster (Jamie McGuire)
Some Favorites (now in motion picture): The Mountain Between Us, Me Before You, Love Rosie

My favorites:
Journey to the Center of the Earth (Julio Verne)
The Picture of Dorian Gray (Oscar Wilde)

The best I have read this year is: Le superbe Orénoque (Julio Verne)
I like adventures, perfect are those of Verne, with a touch of science fiction.

The addition of the ability to remember and it is trained because one of them from reading the book. How the brain works is actually remarkable, because the more often the brain is trained with activities that stimulate its potential ability, our brain will automatically grow and perform better. Like the story books / novels we read, in terms of characters / plays, backgrounds, imagination of space and history as well as other things make the ability to remember will be more developed.

If one day I fail to love you as you expect. I failed to be the one you most want. Will you hate me? Will all that happen disappear meaning just like that? You will be the most strange person and look at me with the most evil look?

If people used to be lazy to study, then we still roam the forest of hunting animals with stones as a knife.

The modern world offers different deals in book-reading activities, especially since there is an explosion in demand for tablets which is an extraordinary thing as an alternative media to reading a book. However, the tablet is also an electronic book
