Very often!

We lost that habit for several years when me an my 3 siblings were younger, we use to take out food to our rooms to eat on the bed watching TV on I'm the computer while on MySpace or Windows Live Messenger haha

But, because of the Venezuelan situation my siblings decided to emigrate from here looking for a better quality life and they're now spread in the world, Panama, Chile and London. There is just me left here with my parents. Because of that and because I am a grown up man already (sometimes) I care more about my parents and my family and try to spend way more time with my parents so they don't feel alone and also I realized that the time while we eat together and while I tell them how was my day or they tell me so, I feel less stress and more joy just by sharing my daily experiences with them.

Victoria which is my girlfriend and the other user of this account also lives here and but we make daily visits to her house to visit her mother whose also alone because all her sibilinges are now living a little farther. We eat with her very often as well like two to five times a week.

So, the answer again is, very often, we eat dinner together everyday of work, and we eat all day together on weekends. We don't have many rules while eating but my mom likes to wait for everyone to eat so we can start and finish our food all together and kind of at the same time.

We try to eat together at least once per week, as my sons are now grown 28 and 31 ! And of couse the best times are during holidays or birthdays! Family is number #1! And these times we share are to be charished! as life is very short...Its not always how often you eat together that counts, but the quality of the time you share together is priceless! upped and resteemed!

My answer would be VERY OFTEN

When you say family, it is compose of Father, Mother & Child/Children. But then, very often we eat together as one. Though it is one of the common culture of every Filipinos, it has become uncommon because of other priorities. In our home, we are six in the family, I have my younger sister, nephew, then my mother and father but mostly my mother didn't eat with us most of the time because she do first the household chores. My sister too woke up very late in the morning. There are a lot of reasons why this common thing had become uncommon to us.

In my family the thing is like this: Each time someone reaches a goal or achieves something ... we go out and celebrate eating together, each festive date as a carnival, we meet and prepare a banquet; every birthday, every graduation, and almost every Sunday of the year ... there is a meal; Yes, we are of that type of family, those who laugh, get upset and content themselves in a meal. This Friday my brother leaves the country with his wife and my nephews, and to say goodbye, this Thursday we will have lunch together, the whole family, and we will wish him the best of luck.

Most nights we eat together, it's not always a sit-down dinner. The kids work and have sports etc., so there are some nights when they are not there. We rarely eat out anymore since the kids can all drive now.

This question is for me!
Everybody in my family works. So everyone is cooking their own meal, usually.
We eat together for at least 3 days a week. Especially weekends.
But in Ramadan months we eat together almost every day.
It is a special pleasure for us to sit in the table as a big family.
I am not fasting. I'm not a man of faith.

But we eat dinner with my family.
Those tables are very enjoyable. When we are gathered, it becomes a story to tell everyone. The conversation is beautiful.

Sometimes our distant relatives comes and 10 people on the same table is just crazy. It becomes a big gathering. I love it.

At home on a regular basis, my family eat together in the morning during breakfast and in the evening at dinner time. On weekends, we also eat together during lunch. Of course, there are few exemptions to these like when someone is out of town and not present during breakfast or someone got stuck in bad traffic and is not able to make it on dinner time.

I believe in the saying that goes"The family that eat together stays forever" Everyday my family eats together and after we start to eat we should have always to pray and even if its just a simple food we will share it and while we are eating we will talk and its serves us our bonding when we are in the table with a blessed food that we had. And if my husband is at work we will wait for him to come home and we will eat together with my daughter. I choose to have this as our daily routine its because when I was a kid I didn't experience that we eat together with my big family

We usually get to eat together at least 3 to 4 times a week. Sunday brunch is a scheduled get together that everyone attends. Then, most of the time we'd have a chance to have a complete dinner a few more times during the week.
