I've been away on a vacation for the last week hence the reason for lack of posts from me. Mrs Bunnypuncher and I went to Las Vegas to check it out and see the sights. We had a great time and what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas so they say so I won't go into too much detail. But my trip gave me a contest idea to hear about your trips and vacations.

I went backpacking across Europe and I met a steemit friend in Amsterdam. we live 6500 kms apart. What I love about travelling is experiencing the way people live. I never visit the usual tourist fare but meet up with friends. Here on steemit, there are warm awesome people from all over the world.
I enjoyed the local food so much, the croissants in the morning with really good coffee, kaassoufflé. An awesome place called vegan junk food bar which serves vegan food that tastes like the real stuff. It was an amazing trip.

By far my best vacation thus far was going to Sydney and Cairns Australia in 2016. We got an amazing place on the cliffs of Bondi beach overlooking the Tasman Sea. After a a week there we flew to Cairns and went scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef. The flight from the Midwest was totally worth the experience.

I am from Nepal and I had a friend who was in Japan for his higher studies. He came back to Nepal and we decided to go to Mustang. Don't get confused with expensive Mustang car, but Mustang is a beautiful place in heart of Himalayas. We long dreamt about this trip but couldn’t make it a couple of times. Time, weather, money, etc. was always against us previous time. Mustang is located at an altitude of 3800m and you need a good preparation before you make a trip. 2017 was our year, and me, with 3 other friends started our trip to Mustang. It is a long trip and its impossible for me to write in details about it here in the comment. It was a wild and amazing trip. I have posted some pictures of Mustang here.

hello @bunnypuncher, one of my favorite place ever in The Pearl of Orient Seas, The PHILIPPINES is the Sohoton which is located in Socorro, Surigao del Norte, this is about 6-7 hrs ride of a private vehicle from the City of Promise DAVAO CITY. There you will see the most beautiful nature, Sohoton laagon/ cove. It is surrounded by many islets with calm and relaxing sea water. It has also several caves, a hole which you will dive about a minute for you to enter the church like rock formation inside the little island. If you are fun of holding and playing jellyfish there you find lots of beautiful and colorful and safe creatures for human beings, they have also pick season for it, only during the 'BER' months only appear. There is also lake inside the whole island.Come and visit if your fun of island hopping and to adventurous this is for you guys

I went to Malawi, Africa for outreach for a couple weeks. Over that time I met with local students who told me about what it was like growing up on a different side of the world, we had a lot to tell each other. Throughout the course of the trip together with the people I'd come with and the students I'd met there we traveled the country. On some days we went and visited the overflow hospital to pass out soap and talk to the patients. We also Hiked the country's tallest mountain, learned new dance moves from the kids we visited in the cities orphanage, and visited the beautiful Lake Malawi so famed for it's gorgeous colorful fish. We were even interviewed on the national radio and television about what was happening in the U.S. at the time and what our insiders perspective was on it. This conversation mainly revolving around the 2016 election, but as I don't like to forget noting was also heavy on that time Favorited to win candidate Hillary Clinton's plans which she began making as secretary of state to drill in Lake Malawi, the countries sole source of freshwater, for oil. I learned a lot about the world on that trip, I saw places outside my home as well as an outside view of it for a change, I hope to go back and I encourage all who read this to travel there and everywhere.

It has always been my dream to travel but my wallet says otherwise.
I live in a country with endless beach shorelines, waterfalls, trekking sites and amazing nightlife but I have a lot more things to spend my money with. In short, I am stuck in just earning to pay bills and get by. Adulting feels great at first, but it struck me - I'm not gonna be feeling this way forever because sooner or later I am going to be an adult. Maybe I'll start having kids and the dream that I had always have will never ever be realized.
It is one thing to have friends, but it is another to have ones who are impulsive as mine. Last Novemeber, when my barkadas (a Filipino word for gang) and I went home for the halloween, we talked about going abroad just to take selfies of world-famous tourist spots. We talked and planned and planned, but never did we think about having a tour of our own country until one of us shared her experience in Siargao Island. We got so into it that we then shifted into planning a tour on the island. We started discussing about the budget, schedules and transportation. We even talked about the food we wanted to find there. I thought for a while how this was just another dream that was only to be dreamt of. Another plan waiting to be busted overtime.
Lo and behold, we actually went to Siargao Island! AND IT WAS THE BEST IMPULSIVE DECISION WE EVER MADE!

The lovely vacation is whenever i go back to my country, Philippines. It is always the feeling of "home, where your heart is". I have always enjoyed our local scenery, feast and the food. Amazing feeling to get in touch again with your family and meet another people. I am living abroad for almost 12 years now, so whenever i visit, it is always best like no other. Amazing!

Ogbooro is one of the interesting places in Nigeria. I came to realise this last year November. I would have made a post and take pictures if I was in this platform then. I had lots of fun I must say.
Of course I didn't go alone, I was with a friend. We decided to live our current destination and cool off somewhere else, we got to know ogbooro from another friend and we never regretted visiting there.
The place has 6 mountains, most of the days I spent, I climb each of it, take pictures and set a camp on it. Me and my friend though.
On top of the mountain, we were able to view the beauty of ogbooro and other places too. The cool breeze on it is something I will never forget.
Have I talked about the surrounding? Yes! It's village-like, not a city. That's what made it fun! I got to see the way things are being done there. Most of the foods they eat are being produced by them. They produce virtually all the food I eat in the city where I came from.
I learnt how to ride a bike there too, most of their men ride bikes and they were eager to teach me.
The people are nice and friendly, and, yes! I'm still planning to visit there again.

To celebrate each the life of each singles of the church we spent our vacation to Osmeña Peaks Cebu PH. We spent one night in the mountain. We take 6 hours of commute to reach the mountain's top. The temperature goes down to 29 degrees Celsius when the night comes, so tents and blankets used to make each and everyone feel warmth. For the food we only have a piece of bread that was shared by everyone, yet everyone was satisfied. We took a lot of picture of how beautiful Osmeña Peak was.
When the morning comes the group ride another hours to reach Kawasan falls Badian Cebu Ph. to relax and dive to the most popular natural pool. The team have enjoyed each and every minute of the trip. I thank God to make things possible and keeping us safe.

This hiking was about a week ago. Spring season just started in my country Nepal but our capital city Kathmandu was just too much polluted due to ongoing development activities. So, me and my friends decided to go on two day hiking to a nearby village Shivapuri wherein lies Shivapuri National Park to get rid of sitting in town sickness.
The flowers were blooming and the leaves of trees were falling creating a way to heaven.
These are my friends with whom I went on hiking. Life, a bridge between birth and death, they say is a long journey through twisted paths and the best teacher that inspires you to live it joyfully and happily is our beautiful nature🙂

I once vacationed to a lake of the largest in Indonesia and even the largest in Southeast Asia, called Lake Toba lake ... lies very strategic because it is surrounded by several districts and cities, and more amazing that in the middle of the lake there an island named Samosir, we can cross it by using a boat service with rental rates around 30 Thousand Rupiah (Indonesian currency) ...
With its vast size and also because it is surrounded by many cities, lake Toba will not be enough time if we surround it within a week like you spend in Las Vegas ..Unless we surrounded it with airplanes..haha
I visited him a few months ago with travel time about two days and two nights from my hometown to toba lake ,, it is has not been traveling around the lake ..
While the time we spent to circle the lake is a five-day trip with just a few stops ,, I still not satisfied to travel there ,, Hopefully you want to accompany me to return to lake Toba and surround it together ... I am want to be your guide @bunnypuncher ...:).

I am a beach enthusiast, every wants to take a vacation I choose the beach as a favorite tourist spot by taking friends as well, I really like the sea bath and play the waves ..
I'm not good at swimming, but I'm still not afraid to swim in the sea even though the waves are very big ,, because I swim by the edges, at most I dare to swim in a place where the water is just knee-length....

I do not know the favorite vacation spot,because the whole vacation spot in my area is not very interesting because its management is unorganized and not well maintained ,,but the place that has become my favorite since childhood is fields,, I often on holiday there if there is time to spare .. I once had a wonderful experience when on vacation around 2015 ago, when I was ride a bus majors Aceh-Medan,I did not buy tickets at the ticket sales,but I ride the Bus in the middle of the road..
Then I left from Lhokseumawe to Medan with travel time about 8 hours, in a long time I was surprised because the bus party never ask for a ticket to me,even though I have not paid it ...
Even to reach the destination city I never spend anything to pay for the bus because it was never asked .. at that time I really enjoy the free trip, if every day the incident recurred, I'm very happy to travel anywhere without having to pay a fee ..

My mom, sister and I went to Panama to celebrate my graduatiom. We spent 4 days meeting the city and we even went to "El Canal de Panama". We bought a lot of clothing , shoes and chocolates. But one of the places I like best is the site of the Kingdom of Samudera Pasai, a kingdom that once stood in Indonesia around the year 1267 AD ..
Samudera Pasai site is not too far from where I live, only 10 kilometers distance or about 25 minutes away by motorbike ..
There we can see the relics of history that is still maintained until now ,, there we will be accompanied by someone who will tell about the history of Samudera Pasai, it really can be a valuable lesson for us, I am very impressed with the site Samudera pasai ,, and hope you and your wife want to visit here ...
This holiday is the most fun for me, besides can see the relics of history, I also can get knowledge from him .. especially this place is guided by a historian who guard her for generations ..

Recently, I embarked on a road trip to see my girlfriend, having been away for 6 months. It was the first time I drove all the way, because I needed to have the car for mobility, since hers was up for repairs.
From the word go, I just couldn't help the excitement and it was embalmed all over my face. Even when I hit a bad pothole, and my back tyre burst beyond repair, I said a short prayer thanking God for life, then I gently replaced with the spare; all these while it rained cats and dogs.
Eventually got the safe, and picked her up, continuing our trip to a Obudu Cattle Ranch. It was great seeing nature again, and I appreciated the serenity of the environment. We had fun, climbed a mountain, ate fresh food, drank cows milk that's unmodified, and did so many things that couples do for fun.
Although it lasted for only 4 days, the day I headed back, she dropped a message saying she'll treasure every minute of the trip. I never realized how much love meant until that trip, and I intend to take her out to a different country on our next vacation; even if it's still in Africa.

on Sunday morning my wife went shopping for another town. akau and children stay at home. suddenly the youngest proposed a walk. By riding a motorcycle without knowing which place we will visit. when passing the railroad suddenly the youngest wants to ride the train. Finally we got into the station.
Our initial goal is to go to Jogjakarta, but the tickets are exhausted, so to remove our disappointment choose a ticket to Solo.
while waiting for the train to come we tried to find a seat in the waiting room. That's when the youngest cried
"MAMA ..." it turns out my wife did not get a train early so wait for the next trip.

I've recently been to Tenerife with my father, brother and couple of family friends. Tenerife is an island belonging to a group of islands, called Canary islands. The fun thing is that temperature there never goes below 15 celsius and never above 30 celsius, so its pretty much perfect time.
While there was cold 0 in Croatia, where we come from, on our arrival we we're greeted by hot sun as you can see on a picture bellow from the terace of our apartment.
Since most of us are bikers, we rented some motorcycles and went exploring the island for couple of days.

On our first day with bikes we just rode around a bit and ran into an beach with black sand! You can see that both rocks and sand is black on the beach, and of course my father.
)
Since we were pretty tired we called it a day and decided we would do more exploring tomorrow.
Next day we managed to get to a little village called Masca, its situated in a valley and you could say its hidden from an unknowing eye. After sitting down in a small local bar (we had feeling as we we're visiting a friend at his home, didn't look like your traditional bar at all), we found out from locals that the reason their village is hidden in mountains is historical. They say that in the time of pirates, Tenerife was on hotspot being in middle of Europe/Africa and America, so the village is situated so that pirates can't get easily to them nor they can easily transfer pillaged treasure back to their ships. You can see the road to the village on picture bellow, didn't get one of the actual village but you can check it out on google.
After we have eaten our fair share of homemade prosciutto and cheese we sat on our bikes and went to the next stop, Icod de los Vinos the home of the Dragon tree. The Dragon tree is speculated to be one of the oldest living trees on Earth, esitimated to be from 800 up to 3000 years of age. No matter its age, it is a beautiful and huge tree. Sadly I'm not the biggest fan of taking pictures so I will put the picture from internet for you to get the idea of it.
And our last stop with bikes was the vulcan which "made" the island, Teide. It is a huge vulcan which had last eruption not so long ago, in year 1909. but they say its safe. Snapped a quick picture of my father (as you can see he is much more fond of photography than me) and we went back to our apartment.

After those bike travels we returned our motorcycles back and enjoyed the rest of our vacation eating amazing foods. They have so many different types of fish, guess that's what you get when you're in the middle of ocean, which they are more than able to prepare properly (if you ever go to Tenerife make sure to check out fish restaurant in La Caleta). Apart from fish we had Harely's restaurant infront of our apartment which had one of best ribs I've ever tasted. Apart from eating we could enjoy swimming, raced around a bit with cartings and all the stuff you generally do on vacation (drink beers and do nothing :D ).

I am more prefer to stay indoors and very less occasions i go for travels but i don't have one specific thing to say but i had mix feelings in travels means sometimes i faced great moments and sometimes i faced weird and worst moments, but whenever i travel i never pre plan anything, anything i went that is decided on the moment. My best vacation ever happen in my life is when me, my family and friends went on a vacation in one of the cold spring in Cebu Philippines. It is indeed a wonderful journey for us because of the bonding that we made and the process of being able to have a family vacation that could give us a time to free ourselves from the stress that we experience in work and in school.
The Gifted and Enchanting Beauty of Molobolo Spring. The cold spring water is directly being pooled into pools built under the green canopies of ancient trees making the water much cooler, their are pipes underneath these two swimming pools that go to the sea to keep the water flowing out and the water inside always stay fresh and clean.
Overall, I would say this is a great place for me to come back and bring my friends too. This place is highly underrated, people should find out more about this place. Ciao!

My lovely Vacation in Kota Beach Resort.
Undeniably, Bantayan Island has definitely one of the best beaches in the Cebu,Philippines; no wonder, it’s a go-to tourist destination in Cebu. Last vacation we wanted to spend with relatives in western Ukraine, but, for a few days to go to the sea. We decided to come to the resort of Katranka, Odessa region, Tatar-Bunar district. We arrived for a long time could not find a hotel, there are five of us. Agreed with one hotel, took a suite. We were placed with my wife and three children in two beds. At night the bed underneath us with my wife fell apart into two parts)) I went to look for an administrator. She promised that she would resettle the next day. the next day the administrator was not at the hotel. She left for a supposedly sick child. But, on the phone she promised to arrive until evening. I waited until evening, spent the whole night waiting for her. She did not answer the phone. In the morning I phoned. I was given the phone of the hotel owner. I was promised to solve the issue of resettlement in another room. By lunchtime the next day, the administrator came to the hotel, but did not resettle. She called the police. When the police arrived, ... the guys, I'm laughing now, then it was not laughing, they looked at the broken bed and were surprised how this shit at all stood so much, apologized and left ...... such stress on vacation our family still not worried. We packed up things and left, it's good that the policemen came, we were able to pick up our advance for three days. Katranka-waste !
This vacation and trip we remembered for a long time! It's great that we had still days left, which we had a great time in Rivne, Ukraine.

We left there at around 12 pm, on the way suddenly right in front of our car happened landslide, our car was very close to it ..
We watched a landslide falling over the road, our car had to retreat slowly to avoid a landslide, some time after we retreated, apparently it really happened ,, landslide over the road where our previous car position, we all survived .. if we not retreat, maybe we were already buried landslide ..
It was the most memorable experience of my vacation ..

I once travelled to Benue State with my brother... It's a state in my country...
They call it "the food basket of the nation", and it proved to be exactly that. My brother and I were served "mountains of food" literally at each meal time. One of my great vacation experience was when i was working in Taiwan. Before i return here in Philippines for finish contract my friends
Sheron & Johan ( the lovers ) gave me a travel trip treat to South of Taiwan in Kaoshiung and Kenting. It was a long drive by Johan 6-7 hours drive from our place in Daxi Township, Taoyuan, with few minutes of stop overs. We've been there last October 5-7, 2016. It was my 1st time to travel that far in Taiwan, my 1st time long vacation hehehe that's a long vacation for me already coz mostly we stayed out from our dormitory just for 1-2 days. My 1st time to experience camping in Taiwan @ Baishawan Beach in Kenting. During our Camp night ( 2nd night of our vacation ) there's a typhoon in nearby place. The 1st night we stayed in ECO Hotel in Kaoshiung.

Good day @bunnypuncher! My family and I went to Manila here in philippines, it was the first time that we've travel out of our City in Cebu. I was so excited then, because I can see my father in Manila where he works away from us. After the flight I saw my father waiting in the airport. It was so nice to see him well and healthy, then he took us to where he works at City of Dreams Manila. We stayed there for 1day, I had so much fun back then. The next morning we prepared our stuffs for our next trip to Baguio City. We stayed there for 3 days, and enjoyed our stay there to the fullest and went to different tourist spots. Mines View Park was the first tourist spot that we went to, the next spot that we visit was Burnham Park to Session Road and to Botanical Garden. On our last day we visit the ** Our Lady of Lourdes Parish** to thank for everything that the lord gives us. So far, this is the best vacation ever.

It was January 10, 2018. Nine months since I was diagnosed with kidney failure. It was also two days before my 23rd birthday. I applied for a vacation leave from the office. From January 10 to 12. Nothing special. I do not like celebrating birthdays before. But this year was different. I am gonna celebrate life. Because God has given me another year. I might have died from my disease. But I'm still breathing, right?
I travelled to Cebu, Philippines alone. About a seven hour travel by slow boat from our place. Alone. That was nerve-wrecking and exciting at the same time.
Day 1 is travel time. I arrived at Cebu port at about 7pm. I ate my dinner and stayed in a hotel. (I'm gonna post more pictures and less words because pictures say a thousand words lol).
Day 2, I went to the Upside Down Museum, one of the highlights of that day. The furnitures were afixed on the ceiling, or the floor? It is upside down, just as I said. And of course, I visited the malls.
The previous day was my own city tour. Day 3, which was my birthday, I became addicted to mother nature. So I visited the Kawasan falls and Moalboal island hopping.
A lot of happy stuff happened on my very first alone (as in alone) trip. I decided to make a post about this. More details and more pictures. But for now, that was like the itinerary hahaha.
Day 4. I went back to my place for my dialysis. Sad. At least I had a very awesome and fun 23rd birthday.

hi @bunnypuncher! Hope I'm not too late to share my travel experience with you :) This year, I planned a spontaneous trip to Thailand with my boyfriend. We visited both the crazily crowded city and laidback tropical island. It was a wonderful trip filled with amazing streetfood (think super cheap padthai!!!), markets at every corner, coconuts, sun and sand.
