Welcome to the Thank You Economy a fun and engaging project where we try to promote a sense of thankfulness. I really enjoy hosting the contest as I meet new people and awesome communities every week.
In last weeks contest we gave away 6 shares of SBI and the engagement level was a little off, we had 43 total comments and 7 entries.
I just want to Thank Everyone again who has been participating, and resteeming the posts. I'm going to make some changes this week and try to declutter the post a bit and see how this works. I had a pretty good upvote from the @blockbrothers witness on last weeks post so I'm going to run without a sponsor this week to see how it goes.
What is The Thank You Economy contest all about?(simplified version)
An Attitude of Gratitude - The Thank You Economy is simply a way to say thank you to someone who has helped you, influenced you or blessed you in some way in the Steem community. It can be tough getting started on Steemit, and the people who have been here for a while realize that. I could see community members helping out everywhere but what can new people do to show appreciation back? Not much....
That's where the idea for the Thank You Economy contest arose, I wanted to do more to say thank you.
Maybe I can do more. I thought there might be others who wanted to do the same, not to mention it's fun.
Just saying thank you to someone opens up all kinds of opportunities to interact with each other. YOU CAN THANK ANYONE YOU WOULD LIKE....

The biggest thanks I can give right now is @pifc, because of @thedarkhorse and @woflhart the vision I had when I started and what I wanted to do with Steemit changed directions. I had a new direct and new purpose and momentum. Having gone from a participant to a judge, my views overall changed. The amount of help and inspiration I have gotten from the group overall is overwhelming. It helped give me the confidence to post more. I still don't post as much as I should/need to. I admit like many HF20 hurt in a lot of ways. Without the support and advice, I might have given up. I still kind of feel it was done to clean house.
I used this momentum to join #asapers, #steemitbloggers, and from time to time #freewrite.
I was chosen for #TheMesopotamians and to keep up with my status I'm signed up for #PowerUp, #Engagement.

That's a great choice, and a great group of people to be involved with. I'm kind of with you on the HF stuff, It put a big dent in my stuff for a while. I can actually see the business case for it. It goes a lot deeper than just limiting spam, but I won't get into my thoughts on that here. Those are some great communities as well, I'm a member or have participated in all of them and have met a lot of great people through them.

I would like to thank @insaneworks because he told me right from the beginning to focus on posting and commenting. I sort of knew, but it would have taken me much longer otherwise to get started. Also because of the insane work to produce content and to #PayItForward.

I want to thanks @brittandjosie for letting the @blockbrothers know about something I did couple days ago, so then I saw my post reach more than $2 for the first time after the HF20 😊 I'm so grateful that she's always supporting me since I knew her 2 months ago.

OK, you're going to need to bear with me here, because it's going to feel like we're taking the scenic route.
My nomination is for @mellofello, without whom, I would probably not have been able to establish a foothold here on Steemit, and may well have been another to fall away and lose interest. How did it happen? I'm glad you asked (or maybe you didn't, but I'm telling you anyway).
When I was ultra green here, I was entering quite a few contests (actually I still do). This was noticed by @mellofello who tagged me in a bit of a contest compilation that @davemccoy was hosting.
This one little tag, exposed me to a wider circle of contests, interesting Steemians, and most importantly engagement. Particularly as Asher's #engagement league featured in one of the contests.
So thanks, @mellofello, I like to think that the one small pebble you tossed my way in the form of a tag, is still having s significant ripple effect.

I want to thank the @pifc community as a whole. They work so hard each week trying to help build a better steemit by seeking out undervalued steemians and getting them some extra rewards.
But this time around I want to thank @trincowski for going a step above and beyond. He makes a point of visiting every entry each week, or close to it. Almost always beating me to the entries and leaving a comment.
This week on the winner post he announced that he was buying SBI shares for the people he featured. This is taking 2 steem out of pocket to help those who he already helped by providing exposure to them.

To say the truth, I was feeling somewhat disappointed for seeing my PIF posts earning more than the ones I was featuring, combined.
I didn't think it was fair, so I am just trying to balance things a bit.

That imbalance will happen as you have followers now and are featuring people who don't. You also have some autovotes that really help stack the deck in your favor. @pifc vote is typically the same on the featured posts and the entry, if 2 featured posts are really good they might be higher then the entry as I tend to cap those since they also get a 25% vote on the contest page and the Bounty.

You have quite a few great people around the PIFC, and believe it or not I actually got an entry in again. I've tried half a dozen times, 3 or 4 times I pick a person and find out that someone beat me to it, or they were featured the previous week...

Just an FYI, if you find someone don't exclude them just because they had been featured the previous week. That is allowed as long as we don't see a pattern of it happening over and over we know that sometimes the same person will get mentioned by 2 people in a week or in back to back weeks.

Welcome to the platform. It does not matter if the accounts are large or small you can say thank you to anyone. @stach would probably be considered a community or curation account which is ok. It is a larger account, there are very few on here above 500SP and they are over 5000SP. They did well selecting your post, that's pretty cool. I would say engage lots, but that's hard to do at 15SP. I'll poke around and see what I can do.

Hello thanks for keeping this going. I like the format and hope it works. This growing would be a fun thing to see.
This week I am going to give a Thank You to @darklands who is running a text type RPG game here on steem. Takes me back to trying to play dungeons and dragons back in the day. I had to heard about this a while back but didn't join. I looked at it now and saw some players I knew so I was like okay let me try it out. The game takes a bit to learn the rules but they have a discord where people help you out. Also a side benefit is you get upvotes to your post. Not just the ones for the game either. I am sure this will vary with amount of players and SP delegated but it is a wonderful bonus to playing a fun little game. It cost nothing to join and you earn rewards to play can't beat that. So I want to say thanks for making a fun little game and helping me figure out how to play.

Firat of all I would like to thank you for this great initiative. Saying "thank you" should be an important thing, not just curtesy. Showing our appreciation to those who helped us or stood by us is a great sign of respect.
Now, I would like to say a big thank you to a steemian who showed me what support means. A talented photographer and an amazing artist. I'm talking about my friend @erikah. We met about three months ago and ever since she constantly helped me and supported me. Her precious advice made me re-think my strategy here on Steemit and I can proudly say that my account grew. @erikah was the one who helped me surpassing the nasty HF20 period when I couldn't post or comment. Thanks to her intervention, I got back on track and regained the motivation I lost.
To keep it short, thank you, @erikah for being my friend, mentor and the greatest supporter. Life on Steemit would have been very different without you. 🙂

Cool. We can't say thank you enough to the people who have helped us. I think I've tagged the person in the past who did the most to give me a good start on Steemit. Today I'd like to tag the person who gave me the best advice. One of the first communities I joined was @promo-mentors and in one mentoring session @futurethinker said one thing that has done more than anything else to help me build momentum and drive my Steemit blog to Minnow status in six months. Well, I'm still a newbie and I want to thank @steemitmamas because they are all so receptive and non judgmental, so I feel free to ask the dumbest question and trust that they will help me in the best way they can. Such a caring community of mothers, who share the biggest rol on earth, shouldn't go unnoticed.
