Hello fellow Steemians!

Welcome to my 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Tuesday of Antarctica and world´s oceans - where the winner of the weekly round will be able to participate for the total of 200 SBD! Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of Antarctica but I am also adding world´s oceans to the same challenge since not many people have actually visited Antarctica.

Your entries need to be submitted by the midnight of Central European Time in order to be considered for the challenge with a description of approximately 30 to 50 words. Only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. The rule number one is to use only personal images. Ten winning photos will receive an upvote from me from which I will pick one winner that will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts.

The winner of daily challenge then competes against winners from other continental challenges of the respective week to receive the price of 20 SBD. That will be decided by you based on the dollar value of upvotes of my winning post announcement. The winning weekly picture then automatically enters other rounds for the price of 200 SBD in total.

Please see the winners of the previous daily contests and give them your support if you like their images to be the one winning the weekly price and entering the other stages of the 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge. You can vote for your favorites by upvoting their winner announcement posts below:

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Asian Sunday week #16 – winner announcement!

@narchuk Asian Sunday entry:

It happened in Thailand, in the Andaman Sea. At the very end of the dive I saw a sea turtle. She swam from coral to coral and did not notice my presence. Turtles are very calm, if you do not touch them. I swam next to her doing a frame-by-frame. At some point a flock of small fish swept past us. It lasted just a couple of seconds. I managed to make only one photo.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #16 – winner announcement!

@vinceboisgard Australian Monday entry:

Stormy night over Darwin, this is a view from Nightcliff rocky beach if a thunder storm striking Darwin in the Northern territory of Australia. There nothing quite like it, I found it amazing to watch a bit like a firework.

This is a view of the Indian Ocean coastline and the famous Hindu temple Tanah Lot. This temple is a very popular location especially for sunsets which I sadly didn't get a chance to see from there. The legends say that holy sea snakes protect the temple but I did not confirm that for myself.

Nice, I really love this place. Tanah lot is a very cool place to visit 😀

The sea is alive. We rarely look beyond the surface. Perhaps for this reason a person allows himself to throw away all sorts of waste. We dived in the Philippines near Balikasag. At the very end of the dive I saw a huge flock of jack-fish. It kept the whole place from bottom to surface. The rest of the day we sailed near it. Wandered among a huge number of fish. It was an unforgettable experience.

This is stunning! Great shot, I love it 😀

Thanks!

I believe it is a winning photo )

I hope so)

Beautiful photo @narchuk!

Thank you!

A seaside view of New Zealand's most scenic volcano Mt Taranaki. A blue in blue picture; the mountain, the sky and the ocean differ only by the shade of the same color. The blue of the water is the deepest, same as the water itself

What a warm welcome. On our first day on Phi Phi Island, we enjoyed this breathtaking sunset. The Phi Phi Islands are one of the most beautiful islands in Thailand with lovely beaches and crystal clear waters. The Phi Phi Islands are located in the Andaman Sea, in the Bay of Bengal, in the Indian Ocean.

Empty isolated beach with powdery white sand in a little known coastal town of Xcacel, Riviera Maya, Mexico. The color of the Caribbean Sea is just as turquoise as it gets there. There are majestic coconut palms all along the beach, providing shade for those who don’t want to get burnt by the ever-shining sun :) Image taken a few months ago.

stunner! what a beautiful day.

It was indeed. Thanks :)

When I first met the Ocean

We had been driving out of Lisbon to the south when the road led us to the coast. And I saw the ocean. And the setting sun. The colors were so beautiful! We stopped at the first place we had found I grabbed my gear and ran to the beach. Lucky me! It was Praia da Sines with these beautiful wooden stairs and the stones on the sandy beach. The first meeting was gorgeous. I knew there is more to come.

A view over the Indian ocean shot from the top of the cliff in Bali. The clouds and the sky are almost coloured if the same tones and the rain is pouring down on the ocean. Tiny fishing boats sailing along the coast are almost lost in the immensity of this ocean.

Location: Bali, Indonesia.

Here is a photo I took of a group of penguins on the beach we went to. The beach was a nesting ground for the penguins and was an amazing experience to be up close and personal with some of my favorite animals in the world.

Very nice pictures...

It's great dear and keep it up, thanks for sharing.

Your Thailand Pic reminded me my last trip to Phi-Phi Islands, the water was so clean, here I am sharing one of my clicks with you guys.

Surfing into the sunset

When I was an exchange student in Tasmania five years ago, I attended a surf camp organized by my college. This weekend was an amazing experience and I actually learned the basics of surfing while enjoying the beautiful Tasmanian coast!

Photo of the central coast of Venezuela (Vargas State). There the mountains, the most northern part of the Andes, ends up in the sea, forming bays. In the image it can be seen, the layering of the mountains.

Thank you so much for your participation and submission but I am picking some other entries to go further at this time. Have a great day. Tomas

This cool unfiltered photo is from small Maltese island Comino, located between the island Malta and Gozo in the Mediterranean Sea. The Blue lagoon with crystal clear blue water is a paradise for snorkelers and divers. Also is ideal for hikers and nature lovers.

They call it a paradise in the ocean...so i guess it counts. A view of Halong Bay, Vietnam in the early evening. Just before it's time to go to bed, all of the boats that take tours around the bay gather in the coves as protection from storms. The view was beautiful - but the water gets pretty disgusting from so many boats ;) - Still I'm pretty happy I got to visit.

Let's think outside of the box in 2018... I present something new, the underwater selfie! This is me playing with my camera while snorkeling on my visit to the idyllic Island of Milos in Greece.

Way to go, I like the spirit: thinking out of the box 👍

Thank you so much for your participation and submission but I am picking some other entries to go further at this time. Have a great day. Tomas

PS: I do like the selfie though:)....

Haha, thanks Tomas! ;)

interesting post.

From the air you can see where the edge of the reef drops off into the deep abyss, making for great diving opportunities. This photo really shows off the beautiful paradise the Philippines can be.

I took this image at the glacier lagoon Jokulsarlon at the east coast of Iceland. From a nearby glacier 500 square meters of ice break off every year and drift out into the ocean. The wind and the waves drive the chunks of ice back onto the beach. It is a stunning sight at sunrise when the sun comes up and the ice reflects the light...

This is a Sea Lion swimming under us, in the Galapagos Islands, this is cropped from a 360 video taken with my Xiaomi Mi Sphere, I am still learnig to use it underwater (it works much better usually but I think the settings for underwater are not right yet).
Anyhow this Lobo Marino just swimmed in under 2 seconds under us he was extremely fast.

Nice shots!

This is a view of the atlantic ocean off the Pigeon island Landmark in sunny Saint Lucia. Pigeon island is of historical significance on the island and is a must see for any vistors to the island. It holds ruins of the battles that occured between the british and the french who battled for the island.
Climbing the fort there is an experience; and the view is spectacular!!

Volcanoes in Baltic? What? You would say impossible? Well, that depends on the point of view in fact.
Shot at very cold winter evening (if remember right was some -20 degrees) and with very low shooting point and extra wide lens.
So visually its really looks like a volcano :D

Enjoy the scenery!

If you really want to know where is this place, I think it's better for you to ask in a comment rather than capturing a screenshot of my photo to repost it here in the comment. It would be much appreciated.

Thanks a lot.
