Introduction

Hello everyone! We have officially made it through the duration of the challenge. As of June 15th at 2 pm, the 100th day ended. Still, there is much work to be done, as I will be going back to catch up and announce past winners. I regret that the prizes will not come in short succession to the pieces so-rewarded, but hope that the anticipation of the chance of receiving them will be the cause for some excitement nonetheless.

There is plenty to be discussed regarding the experience of the challenge itself—but let us mostly hold these comments for the "recap post" I will make soon. This post is for the results of your Week 14 assignments to be posted. A hearty congratulations and thanks to all who have been a part of this ambitious undertaking!

Comments and Weekly Finds

Please comment the results of your Week 14 Assignment on this post. Here's a reminder for what it needs to contain (structured however you prefer):

  1. The names of the two poets to whom you were assigned to leave impressions.
  2. Links to the poems you chose to leave them feedback on.
  3. A link to your "Weekly Find," which is one poem by anyone in the challenge in the past week you found notable.

If you'd like to get a poem of yours critiqued live during our Critique Thursday session you should DM Guy (Thunder_God#4441) on Discord the links to feedback you left in the past week and a poem of yours you want detailed feedback on by the Wednesday before. (It must be 250 words or less due to time constraints.) Even if you can't attend class you can get a piece reviewed because there will be an audio recording of the class for you to listen to at your leisure.

Future Poetry Classes

We reached a consensus in the class that we will take off a couple of weeks to decompress after the challenge's completion. We may still have Critique Classes on Thursdays run by @geekorner but the normal Mon./Wed. classes will be canceled for the next two weeks.

I will post an article about these classes, opening it up to people interested to help brainstorm moving forward. After we have some discussion about it, we'll determine whether to keep the times the same as before or if we should shift them.

Recap

Please comment the results of your Week 14 Assignments and Weekly Find on this post, even if you already left the comment somewhere else. Please hold your more substantial reflections on the effect of the challenge for the official recap post on the challenge I will be posting in the next couple of days. Bear with me as I get caught up and look forward to the possibility of receiving prizes for past weeks!

Poetry classes will be canceled for a couple of weeks while we take a post-challenge break and determine how to move forward with them. The exception may be the Thursday sessions, pending announcement.

Send links to your feedback to Guy (Thunder_God#4441) on Discord if you would like your poem (250 words or less) critiqued in our live Thursday class sessions. The deadline to be included in the critique class is Wednesday at noon (UTC) the day before. Have a great start to your week, and we will talk again shortly!

Congratulations to you and all the dedicated poets who took time and read poems, left meaningful comments and voted posts. This challenge proves that poets are dedicated, get paid well and are recognized too.

Special thanks to Daniel for organising this event. It is certainly a huge achievement because he has brought together people from all over the world.

I will comment later about the assignment as am using the phone now

Thank you friend I'm honored

Hello Mates! We made it!🕺🕺

Congrats to everyone and thanks for the opportunity all these while @d-pend and the team.

For week 14, I was assigned to @hazem91 and @marlyncabrera.

I gave feedback on Insanity by @hazem91 and Cumaná (English sonnet) by @marlyncabrera.

My weekly find is an awesome poem by @josediccus titled Tales of the End which is a metaphoric poem talking about a soldier bidding farewell, woven in precise words and well structured flow. You should check it out....

Hi everyone! We made it!

My two assigned poets for week 14 were @blessedben and @corderosiete

I left extended comments on this poems:

My weekly find is "Cumaná" by @marlyncabrera, a beautifuly figurative piece that happens to talk about landscapes very dear to me.

NOTE

I want to express my respect and admiration for every single poet who made it to this completion point. It's not been easy in any sense. I want as well to thank Mr. @d-pend and all organizers and donors that made this challenge possible.

God bless you all.

Thank you, @sansoncarrasco, for having chosen "Cumaná". I wrote it from the heart; editing it was also an emotional experience. My land and its beauty mean a lot to me; since my earliest years, they have provided food for my soul. Were its people as clever to choose their rulers as that marshland is to chose the gentle herons as its guests, things would turn to gold indeed.

Big hug, my friend! We did it :D

Shout out to everyone who participated in any way, (I made it about half way, yet benefited so much.)
Congratulations to all of you who completed the challenge, you are amazing!
Daniel, you should be very proud of yourself, you took on an impossible task and in doing so proved it was indeed possible.
I am most pleased to have met so many lovely people through this process, it is dangerous to start naming them all, because as I try I realise just how many people I have interacted with as a direct result of the poetry school.
Thank you x

Thank you, dear @girlbefoeremirror. I know you would have wanted to complete this trip with us, but the time that accompanied us was very fruitful and you excelled. I hope that health will be better and better. A hug!

The poets I was assigned for our last week were @acousticsteveo and @mineopoly.

Here are my comments respectively.

A Prayer for the US Constitution

Green School

My find for the week is Flight Tune Melodia by my dear friend @zeleiracordero

Thank you! I feel honored.

Thank you @d-pend, I can only imagine all the work that you have to do and I am so grateful for all the work you have done and taken on in order for us all to do this challenge.
My final two poets that I was nominated were @josediccus and @ayahkasih.

I chose Good Together from @ayahkasih,
https://steemit.com/steemitschoolpoetry/@ayahkasih/school-poetry-100-day-challenge-day-95-good-together
and Natures Onomatopoeia by @josediccus
https://steemit.com/poetry/@josediccus/nature-s-onomatopoeia-an-original-poetry-notes-and-tools-poetic-developments-ssp-96-b15c93231344b
My weekly find is More by@acousticsteveo

Thanks again xxxx

Fullness

Mi luv yuh even mo

Thank you again for making this contest @d-pend! It was an awesome experience!

This weeks assignment:

A poem by @rexdickson called I am which managed to inspire me and everyone reading (I think so).

A poem by @whack.science called Useless and it's about words. How useless they are. For me it's the opposite - they encourage me and guide me. But I think reversing it has the effect. You suddenly start to think the opposite (right) way.

And the third poem is written by @tygertyger and is called - The End. I feel the sentiment in it that I think everyone of us felt in the last days.

Peace - Love - Gratitude

Mindset - Attitude

Until other time my lovely friends and everyone reading these words - it's not the end

Congratulations to everyone who took part, and those who made it through to the end! One of my greatest regrets on this platform is that I arrived a few days late to take part in this challenge. Perhaps I could have caught up, but I was still finding my feet at the time...

Thanks @d-pend, for encouraging so many to take the plunge and really commit to a-poem-a-day. I feel the poetry community here has benefited so much from the initiative, and look forward to reading your write up. Here's to the future!

The two poets assigned were @blessedben and @sansoncarrasco

These are the comments that I left in the poems

1st). @blessedben
(Day 95) "Who Am I"
https://steemit.com/poetry/@blessedben/who-am-i-sspc-95

2nd) @sansoncarrasco

(Day 97) SHADOWS
https://steemit.com/steemitschoolpoetry/@sansoncarrasco/ssp-100-days-challenge-day-97-shadows

The most outstanding poem I read “Ancestral melodies” by @zeleiracordero
https://steemit.com/poetry/@zeleiracordero/ancestral-melodies-melodias-ancestrales-100-days-of-poetry-day-96

I'm sorry brothers poets. I'm sorry brothers poets. I'm in love with my sister's poetry. I read it and I read it and I did not find anything that coincides out of the ordinary. SHE IS A UNIQUE POET. I love her, she is everything to me.

Thank you! I feel honored.

Hi poets,

Even I have my trouble in the last 100 days (my sister-in-law has past away, fasting month, family matter, long journey coming home for Eid al-Fitr celebration), but I did finish 100 poems in 100 days. Hooray!

My last assigned poets were @josediccus and @trucklife-family

My critique were on this poems:

*SENTENCED TO ETERNITY (An Original Poetry) Day 97 by @josediccus
*My Life-100 Days of Poetry Challenge: Day Ninety Eight by @trucklife-family

My weekly find is And we suspend again in silence - Y quedamos suspendidos en silencio - Poetry - Day 95 by @zeleiracodero

Special thank to @d-pend and @steemitschoolpoetry.

Thank you, all. A great honor to walk this journey together with you.

Thank you! I feel honored.

I'm lost in words.. I can't believe I've actually finished this challenge skipping only three or four days. It's amazing.

I was assigned to @whack.science and @spellmaker for the final week.

I commented on whack.science Darovi
And @spellmaker Hmm.kay

My find of the week is Hmm.kay by @spellmaker

The poems I critiqued are:

It is here
By @mrbreeziewrites which talked about the excitement of a festival that finally arrived and celebrating his religion.

And
I’ll survive
By @Sammynathaniels which talked about surviving the ills that may be done on to us.

Pick of the week
Subwaydays
By @nicholas83 which gave a very detailed imagine of taking the subway in Japan.

Thanks for a wonderful journey. It was incredible.

Thank you so much @d-pend, i never thought I was going to make it to the end but here we are. I was assigned to two great poets last week and it was nice commenting on their work.

@ty2nicerva and @skodie

For @ty2nicerva https://steemit.com/steemitschoolpoetry/@ty2nicerva/100-day-poetry-challenge-day-98-rva

And for @skodie Death's cure
https://steemit.com/poetry/@skodie/day-98-death-s-cure.

Weekly find goes to @skodie Death's cure
https://steemit.com/poetry/@skodie/day-98-death-s-cure.

I just want to say another thank you to @d-pend for this wonderful opportunity. It's really been fun.

your poems are always sweet to read @d-pend

So what did you like best about this "poem' in this post ...please elaborate ...

The poetry of @d-pend are so exclusive and well written.. He carefully selects his words qith a beautiful lines and the most of all is the imagery they present.. I love good poems and this one is of no exception..thanks anyway

Screen Shot 2018-06-18 at 06.16.44.png

Keeping this brazen attempt at defrauding people for my collection ! To bad that you do not even respect him or yourself enough to read the posts you comment on ! "this poem is no exception ? REALLY ? What poem please? do tell ! There is no poem in this post which you would know had you taken the time to at least fly over it ! Seriously ! How bloody rude! How disrespectful! And for what did you sell your honour today? A few cents curation reward !- How sad ! Shame, shame , shame . ..

Wow.. I have never seen this before here on steemit. The words are too harsh..dont l deserve to be at least corrected incase l hqve gone wrong? Two wrongs they say do not make a right. I have followed @d-pend for sometimes now simply because of his poetry work. Which of his work isnt a sense of poetry. Check out this post of @d-pend ...https://steemit.com/poetry/@d-pend/i-d-imagine-somewhere-there-s-chimes-ringing.

Capture+_2018-06-18-13-45-46.png

He usually even make use of the tag poetry and so what makes me deserve these words from you if l talk of poetry about @d-pend?

Maybe l must take this to the notice of the community. But please I really mean no harm sir @tygertyger.
Maybe @d-pend may want to share his say on this. But many thanks too passing through

"Maybe l must take this to the notice of the community. But please I really mean no harm sir @tygertyger"

Go for it report me! Do you think threatening me is going to help? I am not afraid of you! my words are adequate as you lied! And now are trying to deflect !

He could use the tag hippo but if his post is not about hippos and you pretend it was because you were to lazy to read the post and find out what it was about (how is this for harsh ) and someone calls you out on it threats are a poor ass response ! You acted like this was a poem! you acted as i you had read the post as your response was "this poem is no exception " as if this post was a poem and you read it . If your answer after my first question had been "oh I meant his general poetry" it would have been an entirely different matter, but that is not what you did is it? You acted like it was a poem and lied.So please report me for speaking the truth ! and just because you follow him does not make writing a phoney comment then lying about it ok ? In what universe does following anyone give you these rights please elaborate? And no i am not going to coddle you like a three year old give you a lolly and beg you not to lie again!

You got caught lying and now are feeling sorry for yourself? I gave you harsh words because you deserved them you lied to my face! Also the Sir is a LADY! And of course he used the tag poetry he was talking about the poetry challenge it still did not make it a poem. BTW I did not flag you initially but because you just threatened me consider yourself flagged !

Learn from this, don't lie , don't misrepresent and all is good. Threaten me again and we will see what happens. Thank you for the fish and have a nice day !

I have never lied and would never thought of this sir.. I do read every single post l comment. I do respect every single word you have shared not simply because one of us is RIGHT or WRONG. But because l value what is RIGHT must always be done... I think it is nice to be good to everyone... Thanks so much sir but kindly help being the best out of people... You may be right but how you approaches matters makes everything wrong. Nice meeting you sir. Sorry if l said anything wrong. Steem on!!!

Are you really going to keep up this lie ? YOU DID NOT READ THIS POST as you acted like it was a poem! may i point you to your response> that this poem was no exception to all his great work ? why would you even say that had you read this post ? either you are confused and need medical attention or you lied ... and again I am FEMALE and not a sir!

Did you see a poem in this post I missed?

Oh I found it

Gratitude

I recognize & honor
the same divinity in all of you
that is within me, and all things.

This is what makes me so disillusioned with Steemit and people in general. people who do not even make an effort but yet rake in the dough. (for Pete's sake in one of his posts he did not even bother to post his pictures right side up! SMH) people who really do not seem to care about the people they serve low calorie meals for a quick buck seem to thrive here . It is why our world is going to crap because it seems to be general human behaviour ... am just done for the day :( makes me ask myself why do even still make an effort...

·@mineopoly there is none that was not a poem , you are entirely too good hearted ... that is Daniels usual closing line on his challenge posts the guy just came for the curation reward and did not even bother reading I get so annoyed at people ...

P.s before i set my trap i checked his profile the is a repeat offender he seems to read peoples titles and then leave random comments . It is just bad form...

I guess the dude is on crack but why should Steemit support his habit?

DQmZCo76MUSeg8WNYUqr9UMGig3kufJWfENY337KfSbpoJC.gif

Hi poets, first of all, I have to apologize for not dropping weekly assignment earlier, I just had to take a break after the challenge...

The challenge no doubt has been fulfilling. In the course of the challenge, I had the opportunity to read great poems from talented poets. I must say, I really enjoyed myself and this has made me esteem poetry very high.

As I usually say, poetry is the language of the soul and a food to the mind.
To @d-pend who organized this amazing contest and other participants who made it to the end, I really appreciate your effort, doggedness and tenacity in churning out great piece everyday .

For the last week of the contest, I was assigned @mrbreeziewrites and @marlyncabrera. I commented on @mrbreeziewrites ' Tales of the Beginning and @marlyncabrera 's Cumana

My weekly find is Cumana by @marlyncabrera.

I also left a comment on @zulacut 's Kneel

You have collected your daily Power Up! This post received an upvote worth of 1.58$.

  ·  6 years ago (edited)

I can't believe it's come to an end in never thought in any way that i could write poetry for a week let alone a hundred days. It's really been fun so far, congratulations to all the wonderful poets and thanks @dpend for this glorious contest.

Now for the final week i was assigned the following poets
@hartfloe
I so much love his poem street teacher

Hey @d-pend. Congratulations on reaching the finale of this project. Do you intend to continue taking support donations for the continuing @steemit-poetry project? If so, please let me know if you also intend to post the profile names and amounts (as in the "Huge thanks to all of our donors!" on this post, and where that will be found into the future. I would LIKE to continue donating 0.5 or 1.0 SBD per week to your effort, but think it would be nice to have such a mention . Please let me know at your convience. If so, I can dnate another 0.5 SBD from this week's "Steemit-Twitter Marketing Campaign" series post :

https://steemit.com/promo-steem/@transcript-junky/steemit-twitter-marketing-campaign-update-14 (pardon the shameless plug) -- as I did for last week's post in the series :

Regardless, I am enjoying - and support - this effort...
